MINE DOES!

Star Trek and any of the spin offs/continuing sagas.........BLAH! There are other shows he likes that I don't care for, I can get through them.....but NOT STAR TREK! I don't know why they bug me so much, LOL

We have several TVs and computers in the house so it isn't an issue of 'I want to watch something else' It's the issue of spending together time/cuddle time in the evening. He worked outside the home all day, he wants to watch those ridiculous shows and relax together on the couch. I don't want to stop the shows he likes, but I can't stand them and don't want to sit in front of them.

Thank you Netfilx  LOL

My ex-boyfriend used to LOVE top gear and mythbusters and how it's made.. pretty typical guy stuff, it wasn't really that is was that BAD but it's how ANIMATED he was about his love.
Like, you couldn't just relax and read a book while he watched.
He couldn't watch this shows without being like..
"Babe"
"Babe oh my god did you see that?!"
"Oh god! Isn't that cool! Are you watching?!"
"ugh can you imagine doing that/driving that?!"

and worse.. we had tivo. So if you weren't watching.. he was MORE THEN HAPPY to rewind and play it again..and again..and again..

OMG, that's how Ian is with Top Gear. LOL. He's all into autocross and cars, and he loves that show.

yeah, those stupid ass bachelor and bachelorette shows.
BLECK! I agree........those are terrible!

On the other hand, I'm sure Kevin doesn't care for some of the shows I like either, LOL I love Supernatural and Criminal Minds and I know he doesn't care for them.
At least we both agree on Big Bang Theory! LOL

I'll take MythBusters and explosions over Family Guy and The Simpsons. When you're trying to get to sleep those loud snarky cartoon voices go right through you rahhhhhhh

Breaking bad bores me, Rescue me depresses me, and those gear head shows drive me from a room.

Then again, I watch gilmore girls, gossip girl, veronica mars, buffy, and so forth.

At least we share supernatural and vampire diaries. LOL He compromises a lot better than I do.

Not really... I'm the rare girlfriend (it seems) who loves top gear (dude, those guys are HILARIOUS) and he loves stuff like CSI, NCIS, burn notice, royal pains, etc (or at least that's what he'll choose to watch...) and I get into them if they're on. He's also become a wizards of waverly place fan, for me ;) lol

And we both LOVE sons of anarchy !

The joys of being together forever is that you can sweetly tell them that TV is going out the window if it wakes you up again and they turn it off...or at least turn it down and switch channels

Other than Top Gear, hubby and I watch the same shows. He's lucky that I'm not into any of the Idol, Bachelorette, or whatever other shows like that. I don't like chick flicks either. We watch a lot of series together and it's awesome to have that in common!

Top Gear (NOT the American version) is the best show. Ever.

I watch Supernatural and Ryan watches Futurama, other than that we watch most of the same stuff.

We don't watch a ton of TV but we do have Netflix.

I can't STAND AquaTeen Hunger Force, Dr. Katz, and there was one improv British series that was awful. He can't see how I can watch the crime dramas (Criminal Minds esp).

We both regularly watch Frasier, some British series, and the 80s series "Thirtysomething" (aka "People Feeling Ways About Stuff" in our household lol). We also watch Futurama, various Star Treks, Seinfeld, Friends, and Portlandia off and on.

We don't have cable, just Netflix. I'm not sure if there is anything he watches that I really, really can't stand. Gaming videos on blogs, maybe. It's boring. Wrestling isn't a favorite of mine either. And it's impossible to get him to sit down and watch anything with me that he doesn't like. And that is a lot. He liked Dexter and Lie to Me. He's liking Dollhouse.

Not so much a show, but an entire channel. My boyfriend used to work in the financial industry and he can watch BNN (Business News Network) all day - literally all day.

Honestly, 24 hrs of just business and financial news isn't my idea of entertaining television. Thankfully we only have to compromise on shows on the weekends, when the markets aren't open and BNN is basically all reruns of stuff he's seen during the week.
