Simi will be spayed around 18 months, so with any luck I will only have to deal with one more heat! I'll see if I can work her into the vet next week... I start work so dunno how I'd manage, but I'll try.

Ahhh the joys of owning an intact bitch. And I mean bitch. Enzo was unbearable when she was in heat. Had her spayed at two though. :p
Lol, actually Keeva was no trouble. I pantied her but she was pretty clean and not very moody. And she didn't have anything weird going on afterwards, except for things I imagined LOL.

Come back to me on heat 3 as an adult, seriously, I want to know if Sloan is alone in that she got worse with age. Lol

Actually though I vastly prefer intact bitches to males. :p

Enzo was just stupid clingy, needy and whiny. Plus disgusting. She ruined a white couch after she chewed her diaper off. Ozzy showed no interest in her though, not even when she was standing. :p

Oh actually, I'm sure it will... I think in general their first heats tend to be "light".

Really? I love intact boys. Big macho goobers. Though I admit the "I can't focus on ANYTHING" phase is dumb. LOL.

Also, Keeva did rip her diaper off one night while in my bed, and as my roommate put it, it looked like she had used my sheets for butt-floss. But it washed out. ;) And then she slept in her crate. LOL

ETA: Also, I would die if Keeva was clingy. :yikes: That's a scary thought! LOL

Bwahahhahaha @ big macho goobers. That's totally KnoxFox. I prefer boys to girls for sure. Though Indy is much more into me that Knox is.

Naw, I used to think I wanted boys and only boys. Every dog I have intensionally kept or bought was a boy. Funny part? The dogs I most connect with have been the females thrust upon me. First with Hannah, then Shamoo, and now Sloan. Even beyond that my female fosters have been much closer to my heart than my males.

I love my boys but really the girls just have *it* you can tell they care, they have the girlfriend, mom, and everything wrapped up. They are attentive, serious, quiet in their smiles, not stupid giddy, oh and so forth. For me, I think they just fit. It's worth the heats, I think, even though they are a pain.

Denis wants a big burly male next go around so that suits our house well. I will stock up and hoard super awesome females and he can claim the male booger. lol

Yeah, I actually did think that too, but I really do enjoy my females. There's something about them that makes you feel like you're dealing with a true equal. They love you for sure, but they're going to consider your suggestions and make their decisions based on what they decide is best - maybe that's the mom part, LOL. Boys are (much) less like that, though.

But I still love them, just for different things! I'm really looking forward to my future Groen boy (fingers crossed) to balance out Keeva and her very female ways.
