I really like Roux lol, and I really like Lux too lol. It makes me think of Instagram rofl.

Steven said those are dumb, but he didn't want to name Knox Kracken either, which I loved lol

I like Tux, Lux, Crux, Cruz, Roux, Trax. I could call her Rouxz and pronouce it Rouse. :p

It took me like three weeks to name Knox. I'm terrible at this :p

Lux is Latin for light, pronounced lukes or lOOks. Luxa would be the feminine.
Luxuria is excess or extravagance.

Nox is Latin for darkness/night. Noxa would be the feminine.

Any particular theme other than letters you are interested in? Latin translates beautifully for names, I find. Plenty of a's, x's, and z's.

ETA: There's also Lumen/a.

This. I'm more excited than I should be about this.

Me too! VERY fun, what a cute girl. We've had two Dutchies over the years, one went to a PD as a dual purpose dog, and the other is chasing birds off of an airport runway.

I know a Malinois that is ROUS (Rodents of unusual Size) from Princess Bride.

I also suck at names, but we do need MORE pics.

Can we call it a brindleois? It's interesting to me because I've occasionally heard dutchies be called a malinois on crack.

She is very pretty!

LOL. I've always heard Mals were GSDs on crack :p

She's very... not chill, but not rowdy. She hardly ever lays down, but she's not into everything. Just pacepacepacepace. Very different from Knox, but her drive for the tug/ball/rope is far less than his right now. Once we have more than an a "this was the last person I saw at the last place I was comfortable, so I guess you're okay" kind of bond going, I think she'll settle into offering more fight for the tug, more eye contact, and I'm hoping I can do some shaping work with her.

She's not resource guardy with Knox at all. They've settled in like they've known each other their whole lives, which is a relief. They both play like stupid herding beasts, and understand that. Oz and Zo hate that style of play, so now we have an even split going and everyone seems happier.

She's a little bit flightly with loud crashes. Thunder doesn't bother her than god. She's not a huge fan of stairs or cars. Knox wasn't either, but he got over it, and I imagine she will too. Her facial expressions remind me of Sloan a bit.

I like Latin! x's and z's are awesome. I'm really liking Fox, but it's a letter too short lol. She's pointy, a pacer, squeaks a bit when she's excited, otherwise she's pretty quiet. I don't really like Foxy as a name, or Roxy, but I like Fox and Rox. A list of Latin names with x's and meanings would be awesome, just ones you think might be pretty and feminine but still strong?

You need another X dog you have two Z's already.

I'm hoping to do some of that :D Give it a few weeks, lol, she's already been started on the rag. Depending on how she does, may have her on a wedge once I get her started working well for me.

Pax is Latin for peace.

Velox = swift (classical pronunciation would be way-locks, church is vay-locks)

Audax = bold

Textrix = weaver

Pulex = flea :rofl1:

Ludex = judge, juror

Arx = citadel

Our old bishop had a gorgeous PP trained GSD named Patrona.
