Just curious for those in multi dog households. Do your dogs fight? Ever? Never? Frequently?

My girls never fight. Zoie and Romeo may get into a harmless yelling squabble, but really not at all. I think Boomer and Casey fought once when they were younger over dropped food.

My boys are all a little scrappy with each other, but not often. Mostly over resources or excitement. Romeo and Soldier are the exception though...they went from rarely to occasionally to injuries and now nearly total separation. I wish I could mediate this but I don't want to risk it. They can be in the same room and don't react to each other, but I don't allow them to interact anymore.

Back when Lady was alive her and Yoshi wouldn't really fight but Lady definitely told Yoshi what to do. Yoshi would get in her face to play constantly and if she pushed it Lady would tackle her and it was over. Nothing more than that.

Teagan can be scrappy, and the girls can get into little scraps, but its mostly over some hight value items or because Teagan has had enough of Mitsu's pestering, but that rarely happens and of course the girls are never allowed alone together and we try and keep high value items out of reach.

Because our boys have such a large size discrepancy (16 pounds v. 54 pounds v. 100 pounds), we tend to curb any aggression between them (a loud "HEY beat it" will usually get everybody moving in opposite directions). Liberty basically mouths off at everyone, but no retaliation or contact is tolerated.

No one has ever been injured, but IIRC Bailey and Mammoth got into an argument over food once and there was lots of drool and shrieking but lucky for Bailey he's tough and quick!

No, not at all.

If Lucy is on the couch and Juno walks by, Lucy will growl at her. And that is the extent of any conflicts with them. Right now they are curled up on their bed together like they do every night, and Juno has been a HUGE help in alleviating Lucy's separation anxiety. They ignore each other for the most part but I think they really like each other :p

Izzie likes to enforce. It sounds like fighting but really all she does is rear up, grab their neck skin, and hold.

It's mostly when the other pugs are barking their heads off at something.

Yes. Lincoln, Stryder, and Charlie will sometimes get into it with one another, always caused by Lincoln resource guarding food. Tsuki and Kiba will sometimes get into with posturing and some pissed off noises from Kiba. All are able to go back to being friends after a scuffle/tiff, so thankfully that has not been a bridge I have had to cross yet.

Most off their triggers are easily manageable, and it's only when I fusk up that something goes wrong.

Because we are always having different dogs going in and out (watching between shows), it ruins their social chain I think so occasionally they have a little scrapping. But nothing too serious.

At the moment we have one boy and four girls, and they all run together without problems. The only thing they do is growl when they get jealous but it doesn't usually escalate past that with the ones we have.

Happy and Kota did. Bad fights that took two people to drag them apart. If you were alone trying to break it up yourself good luck because the dog you DIDN'T have ahold of would keep going at the other one. I ran in on a fight once and my dad was trying to kick them apart. Needless to say THAT wasn't working. Sigh.

Auggie used to snark at Georgie, and now he snarks at Henri, but it has never gone to "fight," but that's also because as soon as he tells the puppy off he gets put away where the puppy won't bug him.
The boys never even snark at each other. The only time I've ever had anything between them was one of the early days Payton was here and Auggie finished eating first and went to steal Payton's food. Payton showed him teeth and Auggie has never tried to steal food from him since.
Pepper snarked at Payton ONCE. I was so proud of her hahahaha. She never once even showed teeth to the obnoxious Auggie, but baby Payton was just too much and she was like NO PUPPY NO! That was the end of it. Maybe I shouldn't have been so proud but she FINALLY stood up for herself! Good girly.

Nope.

The worst conflicts we've had is when Jack tries to take a high value item from Sally. She makes growly-snarky sounds and sometimes will mouth him, but he backs down and it has never gone farther than that.

We are careful about high value items though. Jack sometimes will do "Labrador cost/benefit analysis" and decides that if he can manage to wolf down whatever it is that Sally has before she can take it back, whatever retaliation she dishes out is totally worth it. I never want her to feel like she has to work and escalate her responses to defend something high value.

Yeah, I think that's the worst part of Romeo and Soldier...I can't unstick them from each other. Everyone else I can break up pretty easily but those two just keep going, and it usually ends with bloodshed. The last fight got redirected on my thigh when I was trying to break it up..it's just not worth letting them be together.

Not now.... when Ada was here, yes. But no one fights here... they get scrappy when fosters come into the house though, which is why fosters are now kept separate from my personal dogs for the most part.

6 dog household...none ever fought. Not even with additional fosters in the house, never any serious, true, fights between the dogs. Some snarking as far as, "No, this is my food bowl." Or "OMG PUPPY NO MORE PLAY PLEASE". But they all learned their boundaries, respected each other, and we never had problems.

One misunderstanding between Goose and Dante + a spray bark collar.
And Dante's sister ended up being legit psycho thanks to the people who raised her, and tried attacking everything in sight. She was out of the house within 24 hours, though, and PTS.

But that's it.

When I lived with a roommate, her pitty boys fought constantly. All out wars, with battle scars for humans and dogs. It was seriously unnerving. I don't think I could ever do it for any long amount of time. I'm way to anxious to be able to handle something like that.

Never. Occasionally they have snarked appropriately at another but it has always been warranted. Generally when one gets too rough in play or something. We have always had a multi dog home and the only time we have ever had a fight was with two dogs we got as older pups or adults. Both dogs were not respectful of other dogs' body language and rightfully my existing dogs got irritated. But otherwise, no. I have been fortunate in that aside from those two odd dogs (and they really were), all of mine have always gotten along excellently.

Yes. How often is determined by your definition of 'fight'. By my standards, we'll have 1 or 2 fights a year. Usually between Zoey and Rhyme. Before that it was Gyp and Bella, and after that Bella and Zoey. We had a little screaming match last week that looked like a fight with Simi and Rhyme, but neither were very serious about it.

Mostly they're just pissing matches. Someone looks at the other the wrong way, or steps on them (as is the case with Zoey), or so far with Simi it's a "things" issue. Simi is a very "This is mine. This too, oh and that. HEY I looked at that and so it's mine!" and usually if she has something else she doesn't care, but if a dog tries to take something out of her crate, not good. So we keep her crate closed when all dogs are out. No big issue.

Mick will push Murphy (who is very laid back) too far occasionally and then Mick finds out why Murph is top dog. Afterwards, they tend to walk on their toes around each other and Mick gives Murph a wide berth for awhile before they go back to be best buds.

Of my old dogs, I had to rotate yard time because Abbey couldn't be trusted with Holly or Patch, Emily couldn't be trusted with Holly, Patch got along with Holly and Emily, Abbey got along with Emily. All of the girls got along fine with the boys. It was a royal pain...

Nope not at all.

Worst has been a growl from Blaze when Solo steps on him.

They are a true bromance in every sense of the word lol.
