I'm kind of freaking out here.

Chloe has always had a mole in the middle of the tiny tan marking on her face, to the left of her eye:

Yesterday night I noticed that the mole looked "swollen" and the fur on top of it wasn't covering it like it always has. It's swollen, brown, hard, and feels like there's liquid in it possibly.

I'm making a vet appointment for Saturday morning (realistically, I don't think anything will change between now and then but if it does of course I'll take her sooner!).

Of course, google is pretty evil when you are searching for anything health related- so now I'm getting paranoid that it could be skin cancer. She loves the sun and although she has darker pigmentation, she has a lot of pink skin.

So... any ideas? I'll take a picture of the mole later on today.

ETA: Clarification on the tan spot!

The "mole" being the spot where the whisker follicles are rooted? I don't know a better way to describe it, but I know what you're talking about as Eve's have gotten big and swollen before and just gone down in time. Same with the tiny fatty bumps on her muzzle.

I hope everything is okay with lovely miss Chloe.

Actually, it's the spot a bit higher up... more so on her upper cheek, to the left of her eye.

Thanks- I hope everything is okay as well. It would be nice if all this worrying was for nothing!

If it feels fluidy, it's probably not a cancerous issue. Certainly have it checked out..even if just for peace of mind :) The skin cancers I've seen have been decidedly dark and very ugly.

That's good to know! It definitely feels like a squishy bump... it's brown and round.
