That's what I meant, Blue, that it's something we seem to do here. I love that so many are so supportive and constructive and there's a feeling that it's safe to talk about things we might never speak of to people who are physically around us.

I thought that was what Chaz was... and the dog thing was just a really good cover up

Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without Chaz at several points in my life. I went back and looked at them recently and it amazes me how much I've changed and how much better I am (mentally) now.

I think back and I am amazed and humbled by the terrible hurdles some of you have overcome as you've -- literally -- grown up here.

Not just overcome, but done it triumphantly and gracefully, whether you've realized it or not, and what inspirations you have been.

And yes, Laur, that absolutely includes you.

So well put and so very true. It's amazing to have been here for so long and seen so many changes, especially in the young ones as they grow from teens in some cases through graduating, through marriages and babies, new dogs, new homes, new inspirations, goals and troubles too. Very interesting to have been around for quite a long while here and seen people develop and change.

And yes, what a special forum of people to make it comfortable for their friends to spill their hearts out and get support.

It is a great pity that only certain people are "allowed" to post their problems for support. Every time I've done it I get chewed out and called names, which is why I don't bother.

-.- it's been a long day... much too long for the bitters. PD - let's not dredge up that stuff - sometimes the song just ain't about you.

It's good to see what changes and what stays the same with people. It's certainly fun to see the puppies grow up and become awesome dogs.

I brought it up because a very close friend came here for support and she ended up being made into the bad guy. I let it wash off of me because I don't give a toss about the haters, but it hurt me to see her hurting, especially now when it's the last thing in the world she needed.

PD the forum can be fickle. But I find it ebbs and flows. A particular post could get lots of support one time, but if the same post was made months, or years, later it would get none.

((hugs))

Since my other thread closed before I got a chance to respond again maybe this thread is the appropriate place for me to say thank you to you chazzers that are there for me and helping me to hold my head up high. I don't know where I would be without such a great group of people and I honestly consider you guys family. I think that this tight knit bond a lot of us share and the fact that in hard times people come together, even if its just to be a shoulder to lean on, is really the heart of Chazhound.

Hugs. I hope you find the strength you need to do what you know you have to do.
