I'm not talking about when you get the leash out, or when your dog sees you put something in their bowl, or when they see you grab the tennis ball. I think the majority of dogs get a happy for those things.

I'm talking about last night when Orson saw Kevin building a fire in the backyard, his nubby started to wiggle pretty fast. He saw me getting the weenie sticks out of the shed he got prancie-dancie.

THEN.....

He saw me get not one, but TWO bags of big fluffy marshmallows out of the cupboard and he couldn't contain himself any longer! :rofl1: He followed me all the way down the hall, out the back door, and through the yard dancing and LITERALLY spinning circles! Yes, a big 75lb dog spinning happy circles is HAZARDOUS! hahahaha

That boy LOVES roasted marshmallows! He acquired a taste for the black ones 'cause when the kids over cooked theirs, they'd slip it to him ;)

So? What 'non dog' stuff does your dog get excited over?

That's adorable!

Rylie gets excited over alcohol- it's terrible. If I pour beer into a pint glass, she's right in my lap trying to shove her head into it. Last night I had a small glass of rum while I was sitting on the couch, and Rylie managed to steal a sip. Thankfully she's a 4lb dog and can't get onto the coffee table or I'd be in major trouble! :p

Do collars count? Chloe dances in circles for hers- I don't walk my chis on collars, so there aren't any "rewards" for wearing them.

Lettuce! All of them go nuts for lettuce.

Alcohol? That's very different. Most dogs I know do not like the smell.........in the glass or on anyone either. And Chloe is a fashionista! LOL

And Sass, I LOVE perpetually happy dogs........I bet I'd love being around Squash :D

LMAO Adrianne!

Mike's hard lemonade. Elsie's life-goal is to steal one. She turns into this half-cat ninja when I have one open, and tries all possible angles of attack.

She also loves Dwight Yoakam's voice.

When I talk on the phone with my dad she follows me with more intensity than usual, but that's because it often means he's coming over.

Children's movies. She'll sit on the sofa with you wand watch an entire animated movie.

blankets. Belle LOVES blankets. Anytime she can steal one she will lol. She can sleep on the bed or the couch or her chair anytime she wants but if there is even a tiny blanket on the floor... she's on it even though I can't imagine it's more comfortable than her big comfy arm chair.

Neccy Becky, rocking chairs and apparently the piano.

Pepper is a harder one,she more dog acting than any dog I have ever owned soI guess I would have to say the bird feeder, even tho it eventually leads to what she wants in the first place which anything non bird that comes to see it. She watches it half her day.

Most of the stuff I can think of relates to food, LOL. Like getting out the cutting board. My mom would get the cutting board out and chop the tops off strawberries, then give Auggie the strawberry tops... so now he is OBSESSED whenever you get out the cutting board. Payton also thinks when you get the kitchen shears out it means he is about to get some chicken. So even though it's not the sort of thing that just any dog would react to, it's totally normal for them to have those associations LOL.

Most of our computers in the house are laptops, but we do have one desktop computer. Baxter gets super excited when someone goes to use the desktop computer. His favorite thing to do is to lay behind you when you're sitting on the computer chair.

Baxter also loves really sappy movies. He'll sit with you and whimper and try to cuddle during the sad parts.

Rocky goes crazy for an type of plastic bottle. He loves to play with plastic water bottles, but any plastic bottle will do. If you're drinking out of a plastic bottle he'll follow you around until you either give it to him or throw it out. We've stopped buying bottled soda when we have barbecues because Rocky will hover around the table where the food and drinks are and stare at people that are going up to the table. He doesn't want the food, just the soda bottle.

My doberman LOVES alcohol.

When my boyfriend has a drink I have to watch the class like a hawk because Dreizehn will stalk and sneak until he can get a lick of it. He ONLY does this with alcohol. I find it really funny. He hunts alcoholic beverages like he hunts squirrels.

Both my dogs love popcorn - but that's not so unusual.

Blankets! That's another one I forgot.

If I say to Rylie "want a blankie?" she gets SO excited. She burrows into any blanket that's left on the couch.

That's EXACTLY how Rylie is. It's insane. She doesn't care about any other drinks, but if it's alcohol she is RIGHT on it. lol.

Auggie is another one that likes beer. I don't drink beer but his breeder and her husband do. If we're hanging out together he wants the beers. The first time was after a private lesson, we were sitting in the backyard talking and her husband came out with a can of beer. He set it on the ground and Auggie was like "hmm... *sniff sniff* *SLURP* *lick lick lick lick*" BAD AUGGIE!! Now he wants it whenever there's some around. He doesn't seem to notice the Mike's Hard when I'm drinking it though and that's also a malt beverage, so I dunno what it is about the beer versus Mikes. Something about the smell I'd guess?

The stronger the beer, the more Rylie wants it. If it's a high alcohol content IPA, she literally salivates while watching me drink it.

The others couldn't care less.

Emma LOVES ice cubes. They all like ice cubes, but Emma will try to stick her paw into whatever I'm drinking to try to pick up ice cubes.

Kharma has a passion for chevre.

And she gets incredibly happy talking to Buckshot on the phone, lol. She's called him a couple of times

Really, most of the things that get all three of them cranked up are non-dog.

This about sums it up for yoshi!
Seriously, he's like... A PIECE OF PAPER OMG I LOVE PAPER A SODA BOTTLE CAP OMG I LOVE SODA BOTTLE CAPS A HAT OMG I LOVE HATS... and so on, and so on... his whole life is pretty much one OMG I LOVE THAT to the next. :D

He really does like beer, though the others don't. If you don't pay attention he'll knock over your bottle to get it. I do sometimes let him lick the rim when I'm done.

When Cleo stayed with me, waiting for her ride to Texas, she'd climb up in my lap trying to get to my glass of red wine. She loved it.

Kharma goes after my coffee.

Bear loved beer, but he wouldn't drink any old beer -- turned his nose up at Bud or Miller or anything like that. He preferred Corona, lol.

Any hair brush, if Sophie sees somebody pick up one she flops in front of them to be brushed, absolutely blissful. And it's kind of nasty but used Qtips. She doesn't eat them, she just noses them out of all the trash baskets and collects them. I washed her bed this week, after maybe a month, and there were Qtips in the bed, under the bed, mixed in her blanket, against the baseboard...she looked sad I was throwing them away...know she'll start gathering new ones...
