The new cowpig has been chosen.

They are only four weeks, but I met the puppies today for the first time, and confirmed the choice that I made on day one. It was actually a really tough decision to make. The two pups I liked the best were bad matches for the rest of my dogs, and the one other pup that would have been a good match was almost as delightful as the pup I ended up choosing, but more mellow. I went for less mellow

No particularly good reason. I fell in love with him the day he was born.

He's a nice puppy. On the more active side. Nicely people-oriented. Not one of the extremely in-your-face pups, but no wallflower. He's not the bad puppy but he's not the mellow puppy. He's the one the breeder thought would be the best match for me and for my household.

If I didn't have Luce, I would have gone for the super bitchy bitch. I loved her immediately even though I didn't want a light merle. It would have been a disaster with Luce though.

I love him already. Shuffle? TOO cute.

Shuffle is absolutely adorable... probably one of the coolest merles on earth. I think you made the right choice! A mellow puppy just wouldn't suit you or his big bro Steve. I cannot wait to see him grow up, he's going to be a stunner.
