Rats are fairly easy to take care of from a pet sitter perspective. Stop in every day or every other day, fresh food and water, get them out if they are willing for some floor time. Spot clean if you are gone more than a couple days.

This! It's definitely not like leaving a dog. It's more like leaving a cat - basically just make sure they have food and water and are alive.

I really like that first one too. :p

Hey anyone know the spacing and size needed for cages?

I have a large, newer birdcage that Tyler could build sheves into and the spacing is not too large. A love bird lived in it. hmmmm...
