Has anyone done a detox cure/diat?
I#mnot looking to loose weight - but I really need to rid my body of all the crap I've been eating.
I've been having alot of problems with allergic reactions for a while now and friday night just took the winning prize.
I've always had hayfever - for years - but that used to be all I was allergic to. Since last year though, I've pretty much started getting allergic to EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. Mostly fruits and vegetables. Sometimes it's only an itch in the mouth and other times I break out in hives. For example apples, carrots, lemons, limes, oranges, apricots, bell peppers and califlower. The worst one though has been peaches. (which is sad, because I LOVE peaches).
The peach thing started last year and has periodically gotten worse, and friday night took the cake, as I ended up in the E-room. It started out last year by me getting a few hives on my wrists, then a few more hives on my arms until I decided not to eat peaches anymore. This winter I had something with peach and was perfectly fine, so I just shrugged it off as being something that was there for a few weeks. Well friday night I was in Colonge on a Uni-trip and we went out and got some drinks friday night. I had a cocktail with coconut and cream in it - and a friend had a peach cocktail. I took a sip of hers and finished off my drink before I completly broke out in hives. It started out at my wrists and within 10 minutes time my body was literally covered in hives (even on my head), my face was swallon and I could hardly open my eyes, or hear barely hear anything because my ears were also swollon shut. I started getting a bit panicy - and so did my friends so we went to the e-room, where they gave me fluids and kept me until everything went back a bit.
I have NO idea from WHAT that came from - I can't really imagine it coming from such a tiny sip of something with peach syrup in it... Now I'm afraid to eat anything I had that night because of the sever reaction I got from what ever was in what I ate.
I'm feeling better now, although the whole thing got my a horrible headache and scabes on my head and my eyelids that haven't gone away yet. =(
I'm thinking about trying a detox cure to see if that will help get all the toxins out and maybe not let me react so badly to so many things.
