Those with young kids ..

is this Baby Bear character on Sesame Street meant to be this irksome? Am I to believe a baby character is this articulate. but still says "chaiw"? Does he have a speech impediment?

Ugh so many characters on children's shows are so annoying.

Elmo and baby bear I really can't stand. Why does he speak in the third person?!?!

My school-teacher friend thinks they exist so that children have characters they can feel superior to.

You should watch kevin clash's biography "being elmo". It talks all about how elmo came to be what he is now. Very neat

They also try to create characters that have "flaws" that children can relate to. I am sure we all know one child that has a speech impetement.

Look up Tripp Roth on "EBing a Mommy". I promise you you'll fall in love with Elmo, especially the man who portrays him.
