Friday is teacher appreciation day, and kindergarten parents are asked to provide a dessert.

So, I need the most awesomest dessert recipe ever. Unfortunately, those involving alcohol are not allowed. Lol

Uh... I wouldn't recommend the piñata cookies for this application. LOL! You wind up with such a tiny amount of cookies in proportion to the amount of work. To make enough for an entire class... OMG... :rofl1:

The sugar cookie recipe that I used to build those piñata cookies is maaaaaaaarvelous, though, and you could take the idea of layering colors and whatnot into making "normal" cookies. You'll get 3x as much cookie out of the recipe if you don't turn them into piñatas!

As for my other recipes... I think the strawberry cupcakes are one of my all-time favorites:

**WARNING** The amount of confectioners sugar in the frosting recipe is A LIE!!! I usually wind up needing twice that amount for the frosting to be the right consistency, and then I have SO MUCH FROSTING compared to cupcakes. So I would either halve the frosting recipe with a single batch of cupcakes (using the written amount of sugar), or make a double batch of cupcakes with the original frosting recipe (plus extra sugar).

My all time favorite desserts...

-Buckeye candy (small, finger foods, and like reese's peanut butter cups only better)
http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,197,158179-227193,00.html (my recipe leaves out the butter)
-Grasshopper Brownies (I cheat. I take a brownie mix, my favorite frosting recipe and swap out the vanilla for peppermint extract, and then melt and drizzle chocolate chips on top. SO EASY--but so good, and they've always been a hit)
-Mini oreo cheesecakes (nice and individually wrapped)
