Luckily, no one was injured. Gambit and Argon decided to take off after Lady Chesh yesterday. They managed to trap her in her kitty tunnel, and were standing on either side of it so she couldn't escape. When I shooed them away and picked her up, the back of her neck was soaking wet, so someone did put their mouth on her.

Both boys have killed small animals while outside, though not cats. Argon has been with Chesh since she was 10 weeks old, and Gambit has live with her for almost a year and a half.

Gambit started things off by playing with her, like usual. Argon generally pretends that neither Chesh or Gambit exists, so he was ignoring them. For whatever reason, he joined in, and it became aggressive.

Clearly, they will never be left alone with her again. She's currently chilling in the bathroom, while they have run of the apartment.

Is there anything I should try while we're all in the apartment together? Any tips or tricks? They all seem back to normal today.

Eek scary! I'm glad Chesh is ok? Are there high up places for her to hide while the boys are out? I know when Izzy and Tango start bothering the cat simultaneously she just jumps on the highest thing she can find and they leave her be. Maybe try treating them for ignoring her walking around?

You might want to get a tall cat tree, she could go there to escape. Feed her up there so she knows it's her "safe zone."

Can you put one of these gates across a room so she can run in there but the dogs can't.

NOt sure how the apartment is set up, but at our house we just some of those hook and eye locks to lock doors "open". That way the cats have rooms they can get into that the dogs cant.

It's a studio apartment. Well, the claim its a 1 bedroom, but thats one of the more optimistic descriptions I've heard. So no doors except for in the bathroom.

Chesh does have a kitty climber, as well as a computer to chill on top of, but she's....how do I say this kindly....special. ;) When they were chasing her before, she ran right by it and go in her tunnel instead, thus trapping herself.

Barb04- I might try that, if they make one that is taller. Gambit is an excellent jumper, and easily clears 5 foot gates. Argon doesn't bother trying.

Everyone seems back to normal, which is Gambit playing kindly with her, and Argon pretending he's anywhere but here.

I just have visions of them both sitting in front of me while I hold Chesh up and recite "Kitties are friends, not food!"

Actually at my house also applied this gate and it works. I think its better to separate the dogs n cat first but at the same time try to make them close such use the same food container.. First, you feed the cat first and then dog..

May be if dog smells the cat at the food container, they will thinks that the cat are same with him.. Just my 5 cent..
