I picked up the bunker mix today for the concrete for the new raised beds for the garden and fixing some problem spots with my fence. I am also planning to replace some trellis and start a new bed for some kiwi plants or grapes.

Yeah, this is my back yard:

Terraced, and overgrown with trees and bushes. I think there are 10-12 trees of various sizes that the landscape architect said would need to come out to make grass viable. I'm choosing to disregard all their advice, spent $100 on various things at home depot, and am going to see what happens if I dump lime/fertilizer/grass seed back there this year. Worth a shot to possibly save a portion of $10k!
I would hosta, trillium, huckleberry bush, and fern the snot out of that space. OMG it would look amazing with that and a few cement and stone lawn features.

We did a landscaping job a couple of years ago and the boys really love it, win/win situation. Pic during a rare Texas snow storm.

I'd like to HAVE a yard to landscape... sigh... might be working on it. =/ If I buy the house I'm thinking of I'll need to do some fencing.

Here is the screen house when we first got it about 7-8 years ago, through the years we have added a few things like a coffee table and electricity instead of running extension cords. Some nights in the summer we open up the futon and sleep out there.

Our yard, especially the back, is a continuous work in progress.

What we started with in the back (from left to right) last spring.

(taken last year when we were fighting poison ivy, that's what the flags and fencing/tarp are marking)

Where we are currently, in the same order as above:

^Grass started on the right side of the yard, poison ivy eliminated, path edged. :)

Some of my cleanup work in the front from Easter weekend; we're still figuring how to set up plantings in these beds.

Chances are yes. We are planning on moving closer to where we both work. So I'm pretty sure I will have lots of gardening and landscaping to do, just to make it MINE. Of course I will need places to put all of my plants.

Your pools are so nice puts mine to shame, I have the boring rectangular kind.
It is old, I got it for my 7th birthday.
If it makes you feel any better, mine's the boring circle kind ;)

Oh! I almost missed this page. Wow! That's so nice!! I want to come live with you. That pool, the lawn, the garden....very pretty and neat. :) The little cuties look so happy in their little spot. Cute!
