Maddy (for SarahHound)

I know it's far from perfect, but there are only so many months you can start, stop, erase, and restart a piece of art before you realize it's just not going to be exactly what you wanted.
I started this shorty after Lucy died. It hurt too much to look at a picture of Lucy, let alone pick her features apart to draw. So I drew Maddy, because I empathized greatly with her loss and I always thought Maddy was the prettiest greyhound I'd ever seen.

So, for SarahHound. Her beautiful Maddy. I wish I could have really done her justice.

Oh my god, I just got back from holiday and found this. It's so so beautiful!!! I can't thank you enough. I've been feeling very upset about her lately, this has cheered me up.

I'm just so glad you like it. I know there are many imperfections in it, but I hope it helps knowing even the mistakes were made trying to capture the essence of your beautiful girl.
