Hm......I'm thinking about putting Artimis in a training class. It's completely free if I do it at my job, so money is in no way an issue.
It's more of the fact that I've realized how horrible I've been on keeping up with his socialization with people and his training. It's embarrassing to admit but he hasn't been into a single store or around people in general in more than 2 months. Well, other than the dog park a few times, but that doesn't count because he is 100% great with people at the dog park.
The thing I'm worried about is because he hasn't been around people in more than 2 months I don't know how he is going to react. Especially in an enclosed area with a bunch of different people and possibly his worst type of people, kids. :yikes: I don't want to force him into a situation that makes him more stressed out. Plus, I'd have to do it at my job so honestly, I'm kinda embarrassed to try.
The other part is if I did it I'd likely have to do it myself, David does not like the trainer AT ALL. So I don't know if I could convince him to come.
I don't know, I guess it's mostly my pride I'm worried of hurting. What do you guys think?
Also, if I did go, I'm not sure if I would want to take the begginner course (even though he is awesome with all those behaviors) or the intermediate course, where he could use work on. I thought beginner would help him get use to the environment, but at the same time he may get bored easily. On the other hand Intermediate would keep him busy learning one or two new things and working on behaviors I haven't worked on hard enough.
