I hadn't seen this, but we were at the store the other day and saw a box of vegetable macaroni and cheese. I was curious, so I read the ingredients. The pasta was made out of cauliflower. I'd like to try it at some point and see how it compares.

Cauliflower is a really great alternative for lots of things! I really like cauliflower "mashed potatoes"

I guess if you don't like cauliflower to begin with though, you probably won't be to fond of the faux creations, LOL

I am not sure a person can not like cauliflower, lol. It pretty much takes on the taste of whatever you flavor it with. You can hardley tell its not rice in those bell peppers. I don't like raw cauliflower.

I've never tried cauliflower but I saw that cauliflower rice on Pinterest a while back... I want to try it. I've heard cauliflower smells when you cook it though... did it smell when you did this?

I like cauliflower well enough, have happily eaten it for years. It does nothing for me as fauztatoes or pretend rice, or anything else people try to make cauliflower be. I eat it with cheese like broccoli, or raw with dip.

I have never noticed much smell when cooking cauliflower.

I would love to try the cauli rice. Though I really don't like the mashed cauliflower.. to me its nothing like mashed potatoes. I tried all sorts of things. That said I do like cauliflower as it is.

I cannot even stomach the word of cauliflower, muchess the taste and texture. It looks too much like brains.

I've used the squash spaghetti noodles before. They were yummo!

Umm, the cooking wasn't really an issue since it was mixed with ground beef and so many other fragrant things like garlic and onion. Didn't smell it at all. It did smell a little when I was blending it but since it was raw it was only a light smell. I could see how cooking just cauliflower could possibly smell.

Well I guess that answers that question! ROFL! You can be sure now Sam :lol-sign:
Lol, well I guess if the looks are what bother you. :p The raw texture is awful and gritty but cooked it's just soft and mushy (like rice, lol) I was just saying that on it's own it doesn't have much of a taste at all. You can make it taste like almost anything. I guess that's why people use it as a substitute for so many things. :) I have always wondered about cauliflower mashed potatoes. I think it would be good but obviously not potatoes. I want to make some now. Wonder if it'd fool Chloe?
