I need some new tennis shoes and flip flops.

I've been wearing Uggs since December and this winter hasn't even been that cold. :p:p But gosh they are comfortable.

Buuutttt, I need tennis SHOES for mostly daily use. I'm a tennis shoe kind of gal.

Want something not ugly, but they don't need to be prettiest either. Most of all, I want comfort.

I'm going to start walking again and getting more exercise in with spring coming up, so they need to be comfortable for walking/standing for long periods of time.

Preferably no crazy colors - not into hot pinks and lime greens and stuff (there can be bits of those colors on a shoe, but don't want, like, an all lime green shoe lol). But prefer not all white, either, because every time I buy all white shoes they get dirty super duper fast.

Willing to spend up to $100 if they are really worth it, but of course the cheaper the price the better.

Heard about these ASICS and seem to have good reviews.

Oh, and need a good comfortable cute pair of flip flops! Comfortable being the key word though!

I bought these a couple weeks ago:

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/lan...Dual+Fusion+HighPerformance+Running+Shoes.jsp
(Of course, they weren't on sale when I bought them.... lol)

So far, so good! I don't run in them. But I'm on my feet for easily 9+ hours a day, and these shoes don't kill my feet.

For flip flops I usually just get whatever is cheap/cute at Target lol. I still wear my Mossimo pair that I bought like 3 years ago.

If you mean running shoes.. I have Nike ID free runners, they are about $100 I believe (but I'll have to double check because I'm pretty sure my friend used her employee discount)
I would try to find a shoe that you can go get fitted in at the store

I got fitted at Nike, then went online to customize them (color, sole, laces type, support etc..)

here are mine:

HUFFLEPUFF COLORS! lol
They say "FRAN TASTIC" on the back

Anywho, the shoe comes with a small chip that can connect to your ipod if you run with one. It tracks where you go, how fast you are going, compares your runs, lets people on facebook cheer you on, and if you appear to be slowing down drops some AWESOME beats lol
They are awesome shoes. I am so happy with them :D Light ,comfortable, sturdy, amazing for running... awesome!
I also wear them sometimes to work because they are comfy and really light.

That said, I also have a pair of ASICS and I am very happy with them as well. Not as pretty, not as fancy but GOOD SHOES overall :) solid, sturdy, supportive and especially great when I don't want to get my babies dirty lol
The asics are unfortunately nearly always awkward colors lol mine are like gray..and pink..and like silver or something

If you mean just regular casual tennis shoes, I love converse, low-tops are about $40 and come in every color imaginable
I FIND THEM VERY comfortable BUT BUT BUT some people (flat footed people I've heard) get really bad foot/leg pain from them. Because they are flat shoes and provide no arch support

Hey now! What's wrong with lime green shoes!

Anyways, carry on! I have nothing to add since one of the things I look for in shoes is "comes in crazy bright colors"

I highly recommend investing in a decent pair of flips that has an arch. Your feet will thank you. I have flips from Chaco and they are pricy but they last forever and are way better for your feet (and by extension the rest of you) than cheapos.

I have flat feet (extremly flat feet.) and I LOVE converse because they don't provide arch support. :rofl1: Any shoe that provides archsupport makes my feet hurt like heck. :p

Fit Flops are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I very seldom wear anything else. I three pairs- Walkstar, Gogh II, and a pair similar to the Positano, but with velcro instead of a buckle (I wanted something with a back strap for walking Caleb in the summer).

Those look wonderful, too! I have high arches that are falling as I age so I can't wear any shoes w/o an arch - like pretty much ALL cheap flips. Those look like they would be perfect.

These are the Chacos: http://www.chacos.com/US/en/Women-Styles-Flips

I just have their very most basic one and also a couple of pairs of sandals, I just live in those things in the summer and especially when I'm camping (unless I'm hiking).

I'm not a big help with tennis shoes, because I basically live in flip flops or my fuzzy slips ons when its too cold for flips flops. Though my last few pairs of tennis have been New Balance, and I like them better than any others I have ever had.

For flip flops, REEF flip flops. http://www.journeys.com/product.aspx?id=20253&c=1142,1004&m=SM I am on my 2nd pair of these, my first pair I wore for probably 4 years, and was to the point I basically wore out the toe, keep in mind I wear them EVERY day from about April-October. So while I don't like spending that much on flip flops, they last and they are comfortable and completely worth it. I usually can't stand to wear cheap flip flops for very long at a time.

Awesome! Thanks for all the great suggestions. I'm gonna go through and see which ones I like the best.

And LOL, you guys are funny with your bright colored shoes. I actually love them, look-wise, but every time I've tried them on me, they don't FIT my personality. Hard to explain, but I just prefer a bit more plain, with maybe just a little color or whatever.

Btw, I do have Reef flip flops from last year and they are the most comfy flip flops I've ever had. Just did not know if there were any other suggestions!

I saw those New Balances as well and wanted them SO BAD! They are so awesome. I wasn't able to find them either. Hey, Lindsey, what brand are your new shoes? They are awesome!

Asics are really awesome, they are what I wear (obviously lol). Right now I have Gel Trail Attack, but they are getting old and worn... I still love them though<3. If you aren't sure what type of shoe you need, I suggest going to a running shoe store and let them "fit" you.

I have almost every colour of flip-flop that Old Navy carries.

I run in ASICS but I don't typically wear them as sneakers even though I have two pairs now that are retired besides the pair (a different model) I'm running in now. One pair are my agility shoes; the other I keep around because they were my first pair of running shoes, I ran my first 5K in them, I am oddly sentimental about them LOL. I do sometimes put that old pair on to go shopping if I know I'm going to be on my feet all day and need to trust something that won't give me foot cramps (and I can't wear flip-flops.)
I have some Rocket Dogs, a pair of Mossimo shoes I bought at Target years ago that are beyond dying but I love them (they have skull and crossbones on them!) so I won't give them up, and a pair of Converse. I love my Converse, but if I wear them all day, I end up having aching, cramping feet...
