How does your dog wag their tail?

I've noticed Teagan never wags her tail in the down, lowered position or even with her body lengthwise. She always wags her tail when its pretty much straight in the air. And its never a big wag its just a little wag. That moves only about 2-3 inches

So GO!!

Ripley wags his from side to side really fast. We joke that he's a wannabe Cocker Spaniel. Keira just kind of twitches her tail to one side slowly. Sometimes she'll give you two twitches if she's really happy, and I've seen her wag it in a circle before too. Usually though, she moves her bum to the side and stands awkwardly with her head kind of turned up looking at you, complete with a tail twitch when she's happy. It's confusing to explain, but it's cute... and odd.

Dance wags hers from side to side at a nice, even pace. She carries it mid way most of the time, but if she's having a lot of fun she carries it higher so it kind of curls over her back. She wags it the same way no matter where her tail is held. If she's carrying it low, which isn't really that often unless she's unsure, she wags the tip of her tail slightly. And she wags it really, really fast if she's sitting. If she's really super excited, her bum wiggles too fast to even notice the tail.

Radar is the same as Teagan, he only wags it if it is completely upright and it is just a quick couple of wags. Then he either over what ever made him happy, moved onto playing or flopped over for belly rubs

Desoto is your typical aussie, he wiggles his whole body and dances around.

Duke usually wags just his tail, upright and continuously. Usually wiping everything off of every surface whilst doing so. :rofl1:

Riley swings his tail in a circle like a propeller... makes my mother laugh every time. Mick and Murph just do the normal side to side, the happier they are, the harder they wag, although Murphy will add a 'Whoowoo!' if he's really hyped.

Todd wags down, its a gentle wag. Lucy's wags in every which way a tail can possibly go, it had no pattern to it ever! Katy's is usually up, and it often goes round in circles, just like Maddy's tail used to.

It depends on what emotion she's feeling. When she's greeting someone she loves, it's the whole helicopter thing, when she's sleepy, it's just the last two inches twitching, when she's aroused because of a strange dog, it's up in the air, and slow... So, lots of ways.

Mine tend to wag their entire body if they're on all fours. Ears go back... they give the sheepish grin and just start wagging. Booker likes to wag... stop!... play bow then do the ode to joy dance. I'M A DOG!!! It sometimes leads to a tail chasing, grunt fest. It's pretty funny.

Willow wags and if she gets geared up enough she starts the butt tuck rumble of running in circles like a knucklehead. Watch your knees.

Rain if I wake her up will spin her tail in place like a fan.

Mia wags her whole butt and bounces. She just can't contain her happiness to her tail. (Unless she's just a little happy then she does a normal wag).

Summer's tail is pretty normal but her 'I don't think I like this' tail wag is really low.

Rose is the funniest as she just shakes her tail. It looks like a rattle.

Caleb doesn't wag his tail- he wags his entire back end from side to side. Hence the nickname "Wiggle Butt".
That was our nick name for our Lab, Bonnie! LOL. Yep....full body/bootie wag.

Chulita wags very fast when she's super happy or playful. It goes so fast, I call her "Two-tails" or "Turbo tail." (she gets a lot of nick names.):p Seriously, your eyes see two tails sometimes in kind of a blur. It's curved upwards. Jose` wags with his tail rather high up too, just not quite the super fast wag like little Chuli except for when he's really excited about something.

Ozzys is curly, so its usually a fast shake almost if he's happy or excited. If he's being a dick its a lot stiffer at the base and higher and wags slower.

Knox doesn't really wag his a whole lot, but he wags it super fast when he does.

Enzo doesn't so much wag as shake her entire body. :p
