Not of you on the toilet, NOBODY wants to see that :p My friends have totally posted pictures of their dogs staring at them while they're on the toilet on Facebook. You're weird for thinking it's weird, obviously

hmmm, next time I shall take a picture just for you, of his crazy face peeking around the door to check on me, just to make sure I haven't fallen in and drowned.

I brought Pan for a visit to my in-law's house the other day and of course she had to escort me to the washroom. They probably think I'm even more weird now. :D

With the amount of banging myself up and falling over I do, he probably feels its a valid concern, that I might accidentally drown in the loo somehow.

I do. I live with just my husband, and when he's asleep, who cares? :p plus it lets me keep an ear on the dogs. And at least one of them keeps an eye on me.

My cat feels this way. He just...watches. He situates himself directly in front of me and stares.

I assume dogs and cats do this as payback for the fact that we can see them doing their business.

ok really? What good is it really, though? You just gonna stop your.. ahem... business and run out of the bathroom if you hear something? :rofl1:

Well, depends on the business, but if Enzo is on the counter or knox and oz are scuffling, then... Yes. Otherwise I'll just yell for Steven really really loud. :p

Murphy does this every once in awhile. I assume it's because he hasn't had a bath in ages and thus does not fear the bathtub anymore. Once I shut the door he gets annoyed and wants to be let out. Backwards dog is backwards. :p We were testing the water heater the other night and had me, Matt, Murphy AND Mu in the bathroom supervising.

Dogs like to make sure to be there just incase you need help. :D
Yes indeed. Every dog I've ever had practically, would come into the bathroom or peek in. The big difference was when I had a Doberman. And I've heard this from other Doberman people: Dobermans don't just come in. They will help you wipe. :rofl1:

Hey, for all they know, the shower is magical portal to another land. He's just making sure you don't escape.
That is more likely his concern than me falling in. :p escaping would be terrible. Now I'm beginning to think Steven put him up to it. ;)

LOL, Ivan always visits me in the bathroom. Partially to keep an eye on me and partially to get a drink of water after I flush. I gave up on trying to shut the door, hes figured out how to open it. So ehh why bother. lol

Sounds like mine are the only dogs who don't come! Now I feel left out :p
Mine don't, either, thank God. LOL I have had Cynder come into the bathroom a few times to check on me and make sure I'm still alive. I say, "excuse you" and she gives me a look, walks out in a huff, and lays just outside the door waiting for me. :p

Apollo, on the other hand...he HAS to be in the bathroom if you are in there, and if you shut him out and breaks the door down. Because he knows human + bathroom = toilet flushing, and that is his most favorite thing in the whole wide world.
