And I hoard shampoo.

Seriously, is anyone else as obsessed with buying shampoo as I am?? Lol at the moment I have like 4 or 5 brands that I rotate through. And I really don't bathe my dogs that often so it's not like I use it often enough that I even get to enjoy them. :rofl1: It takes me YEARS to go through an entire bottle.

I was at TJ Maxx tonight and almost bought ANOTHER bottle of shampoo, because it smelled so delicious.... but I just bought some Topline Canine shampoo & conditioner like 2 weeks ago (which I love btw) so I resisted. :p That's what I hate about that store. Their stock changes every time you go in and they always have dog shampoos that I have never seen or heard of before... and when they only cost $4 a bottle, it's hard not to buy them....

I don't have this problem when it comes to MY shampoo.

I hoard shampoo too... I have a ton of Nature's Specialties... also have a bunch of stuff back from my grooming days that isn't made anymore. I basically treat it like the One Ring. ;)

LOL!! I wouldn't say I buy it a lot, but when I do buy doggy shampoo/conditioner, I typically buy kind of pricey stuff. Like, I really like using Minksheen on him in the summer because it also has bug repellent in it, but I really like the cologne-y smell to it (some say it's too strong) and you can only buy it online. Then I tried out Chris Christensen shampoo/conditioner/spray and LOVE it. I have a few other kinds, but yeah, I wouldn't say I have a problem when it comes to most grooming type products. Though now I may have to make a pit stop at TJ Maxx just to SEE. ;)

I wish I had a valid reason like that for why my basket of dog stuff is overflowing with shampoo!

Ha! I don't know if the shampoos they typically sell are any "good" but they sure do smell nice. :D And that's all it takes to suck me in lol.
I do really like the Topline Canine I bought there though. It's a Minnesota company which is the only reason I tried it, because I wasn't sold on the scent... haha it smells good but I usually like super fruity shampoos, which this isn't. But Juno was soooo silky soft for days and days after being bathed with it.

Nope, we just bought our 2nd bottle in roseys lifetime last year
Lol that's how we were with Molly. One bottle of shampoo lasted her her whole life. :p

I usually scoop up any shampoo that's on sale for a good price, especially whitening shampoo. That being said, I go through a LOT of shampoo. I can maybe get 3-4 baths for Logan out of a bottle, up to 10 for Gavroche depending on what it is. I use conditioner even more quickly. Considering my dogs are bathed almost every week, that's a lot of shampoo and conditioner!

I have two bottles of shampoo at home for the dogs, but I hardly use them. My dogs get bathed maybe once or twice a month depending, but I usually just bring them to work and use the shampoos there. I love using the tub at work rather than being on my knees forever when I use the tub at home.

I think we only have 4 bottles of shampoo- two types of Earthbath, and a couple of others we bought from our vet for a foster dog's skin issues.

I couldn't care less about shampoo- I don't plan on buying anymore until we run out!

No, Im more of the collar addict type. :) I am picky and a snob about shampoos for my dog though. I can see myself going to a Ton more though when I get my puppy and grow a show coat on him. :yikes:

I buy a lot of shampoo. Some because it is being discontinued, others because they smell good, are new etc. I honestly probably have enough shampoo to last the rest of my current dogs lifetimes and a couple more dogs.

I will probably start hoarding different whitening shampoos until I find one I like for Tango's coat. The one I have now is EarthBath Light color coat brightener. It doesn't have any blue-ing in it which is the best way to whiten a coat so I'm sure I'll find something else to try soon. They have whitening pet shampoo at Walmart for like $4 which might be worth a shot if I follow it up with the EarthBath. I love the scent of the EB because it's a lavender based scent (Which of course just smells like the general "sweet" to me and my broken nose)

Following a whitening shampoo with a regular shampoo is a good idea, it helps keep the coat conditioned and keeps it whiter longer. Something about closing up the hair shaft or something like that.

For brightening shampoos, Double K whitening rocks!! I use it on the black dogs and it makes them look so nice! Also, a good REmoisturizer is the best for conditioning IMHO!

I'm not really one to hoard shampoo, but somehow I did end up having like 8 or more different bottles at once. Not sure how that happened. Now I've finally almost run out of all of them (only have two bottles left, and both probably only have a bath or two left in them), and went and bought a big jug of shampoo and conditioner each at the dog show a few weeks ago that should last me a long time. My dogs are bathed monthly, and I also bathe and tidy a few Tollers and my grandma's dog every couple of months, so I go through a decent amount of shampoo... but not enough to warrant having that many bottles of it sitting around. Especially since in the summer, I often use diluted dish soap on them instead (works better on them when they're filthy).

Me! I love pet shampoo!

I get ticked every time I give Frodo a bath about how much is left cause I can't justify buying more until my current bottle is done, lol.
