This is pretty cool, neither of our dogs do very well in the AKC ring. It's an awkward balance of drive that we're not very good at finding yet. They have to be low enough to not cause trouble but not too low that they're flat and soft in focus. As you can see Sloan gets a bit soft in some of her heeling but over all not a bad run. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same so we don't have to share her next month when I debut her in agility. :)

Heel free (she was lagging a bit here but pulled it together for the Q)

Recall

Crooked finish but she did it with style. ;)

Ready for long sits and downs

It was SO windy and the pop-ups were all trying to fly away. It's impressive more dogs didn't spook.

Long down

Done! Q with a 1st place in his class. :)

Good job guys!

The haul: it was the 100th Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club show, he got a plate, a votive, a rule book, money, a pin, a toy, and some treats.

Congrats!!! That is awesome.

It is, isn't it? But I think that's why I get so geeked about it, lol. Seeing a really nice run in the AKC ring where the dog is working in good drive but still has that necessary conscientious precision is really something to me.

Congrats again!

Wait, you're within driving distance and I haven't yet met Goose?? :yikes:

End of March I am hoping to debut Sloan myself in agility, bring me Goose. I promise to try and not steal her... *try*.

Thanks again all!

Give me a date and I'll do my best, lol. She does have stranger danger, though, and would shun from the end of the leash (she says only three people are worth attention, thankyoumuch) Nog's much more sociable, lol. We are working on her at least pretending that she isn't a shunner, though, so perhaps by then she'll at least sit there rather than walk away:rolleyes:

We're only about an hour and a half away. We're in AZ, but make the trip every few months for better shopping and such, lol.

She hasn't been in Vegas since we brought her home though :)
