Meet Chili the Chow! Chili was pulled from PG County Animal Control in MD. She is the prettiest, sweetest, cutest best chow ever! She takes treats real gently, walks well on the leash, and is very clean in her run, so is very likely housebroken. I am completely smitten. <3

"No, I will not look cute for your pictures. I prefer to yawn and squint my eyes instead."

Pretty yet blurry. (Stupid rainy day, messing up the natural lighting!)

This is Steele, the akita. He is a LOT of dog. He has one bad eye, but he doesn't let it slow him down! He is STRONG on the leash (too strong for me to handle, I was glad another volunteer had him out). Steele is anxious right now because he isn't used to where he is. Akitas tend to have trouble with change. Steele will need an owner who knows akitas, and who knows how to handle and train a pushy young male appropriately. Steele needs a home with no small children, and he may be DA, although it could just be leash reactivity. I would be very surprised if he was good with cats.

This is Sonar, the blind mastiff. He's young, maybe a year or so. Sonar was pulled from PG County Animal Control in MD when his time was up. He was an owner surrender, although I didn't notice a reason on the owner's surrender sheet FOHA got from the shelter. I did see that Sonar "couldn't be housetrained" and so they kept him outside in a yard with a privacy fence 24/7. He lived with kids and a yorkie and did well. I would hesitate to place him with small children because of his blindness and penchant for jumping up at times, but older children should be fine. He would probably do fine with cats. Sonar is a sweet and gentle soul.

So cute!

This is Mystery the dobe! Some ACOs showed up at her owner's house one day to investigate a report of neglect and the owner told them to just take her because she was old and he didn't want her anymore. Mystery says she may be older, but she's spry and loves to go for walks. She also likes to lean and get pets. Mystery would do fine with a compatible dog (preferably male, but female may work too, depending on the dog). Mystery would like a calm retirement home without small children.

Its Willis, the dorky border collie! He's young, active, biddable, "sits" like a champ, and would be very happy to learn and do anything you want him to! He's the epitome of bordercollieness.

Derp da derp

Same. Chow Chow cuteness, :D

He should do ads for the ASPCA. "With your donation, we can end animal abuse."
I completely agree. Look at those eyes!

I must agree with what others said about the BC. Regardless, he is adorable.
And I love Akitas, would never own one, but they are gorgeous dogs.

Oh I so want that Chow, what a beautiful dog. They are all lovely!

That dog could be full border collie, just a plush smooth coat. Or he could be a husky mix, which I think is more likely. Whatever he is, he's a beautiful animal!
