I got a Kindle Touch (the non 3G one) for Christmas as that's really all mom could afford. Though now playing around with my friends Fire, I am thinking of upgrading and getting a Kindle Fire instead.

Anyone have both... or the Kindle Fire? Pros/Cons you like about it?

Posting from my kindle fire now ;)

I love it! Fast, easy to use, versatile. I watch netflix on it, surf the web, play games and read books.

I had the originle kindle & I wished it had a touchscreen and my first week with the fire I with it had buttons to push. But Ive gotten used to it and have no complaints!

The big question is do you want a Kindle for reading, or do you want a tablet for surfing? Which is your primary use?

I weighed pros/cons of each and chose a Kindle Touch, yes I would like a tablet someday, but if I'm going to get a tablet, I plan to go all out and get a tablet. Right now I wanted something to read books on, and if that is going to be your main use, I would stick with the Touch because of the eInk display. The Kindle Fire is like a computer screen and is harder on your eyes if you plan to spend hours reading on it.

+1

Depends what you main use is...reading or tablet as the poster above said......I got the touch after playing with my FIL fire....I love to read outside and at the beach so the glare on the fire would really irritate me

I Love my kindle fire XOXOXO

My sister in law has a kindle touch and while it is nice mine is way more versatile - connects beautifully to the internet- I find the backlight amazing no matter what the weather - darkness. Also it is adjustable.
