I may be paying a little visit in the fall :) any advice?

Oh and any hotel suggestions? I think I'm staying for a weekend or something.. nothing really extravagant lol I just need somewhere clean to sleep.

I've only been to Montreal before so this is exciting! CANADIAN ADVENTURE!

Visting a breeder so fingers crossed all that works out :D

I am close to TO as are a few chazzers. Most chain hotels are nice. Now Toronto is pretty big, you will likely want to stay near the breeder.

Though I would suggest staying longer than a weekend, TO is full of fun things.

The breeder is over an hour away from Toronto airport as it turns out (Somewhere called Erin, ON).. that's gonna be an expensive cab ride lol
It changes things up a bit, so stay tuned!

I wouldn't cab it. You could likely use the GO system. Not sure if the GO train stops in Erin but it would get you a lot closer and THEN you could cab it!

I live just outside of TO :)

I love going to Queen Street W and hitting the little shops, tons of great finds. You absolutely have to stop by Originals.

I love Kensington Market. All the little Asian bakeries.. so not low carb but sooo tasty

Hmmm you know if you want to hang out for a few days when you come we could stroll around there :) (I can even bring a dog)

I got to see Kensington Market last summer when Ry had an art show there, LOVED it!
So many cute little places that looked like they were just puked out of someone's house right onto the sidewalk, haha. The culture there is something I really love, too. It's so different from where I moved here from, it's a nice change. Some very good restaurants too, yeah.

I haven't had the opportunity yet to really explore Toronto. I fare horribly in the cold, so we've only been a few times this winter (last night for a friends show in a battle of the bands, and for Christmas presents and to see Louis CK live). This spring/summer though, it's my goal to go all over.

I like the Distillery District for arts/galleries/designer stuff. Plus the buildings are cool. There are also lots of different cultural areas like Chinatown, Greek, etc. And of course the huge mall downtown (Eatons Centre), the waterfront... lots of places to see!

I would love to Dekka!
This trip is seeming more and more complicated lol as Andrew said.. it really is a tiny little town not very accessible.. I am hoping we can work something out to just meet in Toronto..

There are plenty of things that need to fall into place first! but I figured I might as well start planning this stuff out. Id love to go visit somewhere new anyway! lol

we have amazing bus/subway/go train routes. Id bet you can easily find a way to erin for much much cheaper then a cab fare (which they would do a flat rate on. but the flate rate sometimes tends to be more then the boxy thing lol)

Im VERY close (like 20mins) to toronto. I too could come out, with a dog or 2 even, for a fun day in toronto. Its a great City, with SOOO much to do.

Also, a breeder eh? what you getting lol I missed something some where.

I live in Toronto. I've been here my whole life and I don't know....it's nothing special. I like the beaches because it's VERY dog-centric. If you're into fashion and stuff, check out Yorkville for tons of crazy expensive designer stores. Queen West is fun for funky/indie stores, and Kensington is AMAZING for vintage and hippy wear.

Erin is pretty far from Toronto. I don't know if I would cab there...but there aren't really any other close transportation options other than that.

If you want to stay in Toronto for the weekend and see a lot of things, you'll want to find a hotel that is close to the Yonge subway line. Do not stay in any hotels around Gerrard and Church or Gerrard and Jarvis (central downtown, east of Yonge street area of Toronto). That's a rather "rough around the edges" area in terms of a lot of prostitutes and drug addicts. Jane and Finch area (north west end of Toronto) is known for a lot of gang violence, as well as Parkdale (Jarvis and Parliament area).

I'm not really sure where to stay...I'll ask around and post some links later.

Lol I'm not getting anything for a long time.. but this is kind of..research I guess.

I am totally counting my chickens before they hatch at this point but I figure why not? Even if this breeder doesn't work out (and there are sooo many variables when it comes to finding the right SD prospect) I got to spend some time with the breed and meet some chazzers lol
I have family in Montreal so I'll probably just do my big canada adventure all in one go haha

Well, like I said in chat, if you go to TO I'd totally come up for a visit :) Since we always manage to miss each other :p I have some friends I want to meet up that way, anyway...
