Millie's birthday was yesterday and she's 10 now! It's crazy. She's now the age *I* was when she came into my life. I can't wrap my head around that.

Millie, you already know all the things I want to tell you. I love you more than I can say and I hope we have many, many more years together. Thank you for being my best friend and at my side for the last 10 years.

I passed on your birthday wishes. :D

I'm having a total crisis over this. How can Millie be in the double digits already? :yikes:

Because you're counting too fast? ;)
I guess I've been making the mistake of counting +1 every birthday. Which is the right speed? :p

Thanks, guys. <3 She really is a very gentle dog, with a very old soul. She wasn't a puppy for very long.
When she was a puppy, though, she repeatedly got stuck under our furniture and didn't like letting me put my socks on, haha.
It's funny now looking back on the first time she got stuck under the couch, but I almost died of fear and exertion hearing her crying and running around looking for what I thought was my injured puppy. And then there was the big, stuffy chair that also rocked. I'd hear movement under me and I'd have to freeze in mid-rock, afraid I was going to crush her.
When she was about 5 weeks old and starting on wet food with her brothers and sisters, she used to stand sideways with her back feet in one of her siblings' bowls, lol.
I have a couple of pictures from that age I'd kill to find again! I'd love to show you guys how she had a completely white-tipped tail. It's so weird. After that faded, she's had 3 white hairs on the end of her tail. After all these years those hairs keep growing back.

Ack, sorry. Just reminiscing a bit.
