Love that guy. I grew up on Mr. Wizard, but my kids had the pleasure of Bill Nye's show.

That's AWESOME! My sister and I were just talking about him a couple of weeks ago, how awesome his show was and what a shame that it's not on anymore.

Actually, it's really hard to find a science show at all these days. When I was growing up there was Bill Nye, Beakman's World, and any number of other math/science shows. Now.... well, I'll admit I'm not that in-touch with what kids are watching these days, but... I don't know of any science shows of that caliber. :(

I am kind of jealous, haha. I loved Bill Nye when I was a kid. And now I have his theme song stuck in my head...

That is just totally awesome!

I loved Bill Nye and Beakman's World. They need to do a revamp, because Lord knows it makes science a lot easier to understand and retain.

Are you as tall as him?
Not even close, I'm sure! I've actually never watched his show - I grew up on Mr Wizard. Didn't realize we were actually related until there was a bit about him in our family association's newsletter years ago.

Those shows were awesome. Speaking of math, did anyone ever watch Square One? That show was awesome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_One_Television I found an old taped-off-TV VHS of that show a few months ago...it was even better than I remembered.

As far as current shows go, I don't know what's out there for kids now. But I think Mythbusters is like a grown-up version of those old science shows.

Bill Nye is super awesome. I'm totally jealous.

YES! I almost mentioned Square One! I LOVED that one. Remember.... I think it was called.... "Mathnet"?

Just want to chime in and say that this is awesome. Bill Nye is one of the leading people that caused me to question everything. Sure the result of that is being treated like a devil worshiper at times, but it's worth it. Critical thinking is the only way to get through life and he's one of the people that I have to thank for that. I'm very jealous. :D
