As per this thread: http://chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148423

I am working on teaching Mia to go to her bed and stay there. Eventually that will be her place to go when I bring Summer out to work with her. Session 1(skipping most of it):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3nfyM6Stgk&list=UUEMit_X89sKygjypdATGzYQ&index=1&feature=plcp

I'm going to keep filming because I realize I'm really unclear sometimes. I realized this time that I was rewarding her and giving her the treat when she would bounce up so after watching a bit of that and adjusting my training, she calmed down quite a bit. I think you can see some progress (last clip is about 10 mins in). I think she's less frantic. It's going to be a while before I can start putting in distractions.

Yeah my Christmas tree is still up...

Traveler did this in heel and I for a little while just c/t when I would lean in at all and he kept his position. He picked it up fast and it really really helped.

Isn't it funny how they can be? Traveler was like that in heel and front. "You want me THAT close to you? Ewwww"

I found throwing the treat between my legs really really helped him get over it fast and straightened out the front nicely
Thanks I'll try that out! Seriously they are so odd, its hilarious.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't really been working much with Harleigh

However, we are working on "scoot" (back up). Just started teaching that one tonight, it was quite entertaining to watch. LOL. Especially since I lost my clicker and was using just a "good job, yay!" and treats :p

We are also re-working (I kind of taught her it a little while back) what we call "Front". Which is basically I call her from wherever, then she comes and sits directly in front of me.

My primary goal right now is to work on a formal heel with Lotte. Last time I attempted to teach it, I wound up with close-loose-leash-walking, and I don't think either of us understood where she was supposed to be when in heel position. This time, I've got a plan, a clear idea of where heel is, and a much better sense of timing.

Squeeeeee! Snipe finally "got it" with her rear foot targeting and now her board is approaching vertical quickly! :D I'm super psyched if you can't tell. ;) Now to find a longer board since she ran out of room on the current one in our last session...

So Quinn is back to learning the handstand. She hasn't done any hind end targetting in probably 10 months andI gave up the handtsand when we couldn't move on from a pile of books.
Well thanks to Chaz I relised I could use a board to work out that problem and session one back she is on a nearly complelty vertical board and holding it well. God I love how easy this dog is to shape.

Ok new vids for my fellow training nerds:

Kestrel's second session with targeting both of his front feet on an object, first time with a flower pot. Really shows the difference between he and Aeri and clarifies why I find how Aeri learns so different from my usual.

I love how a little way in he's like "you can't seriously just be asking for two feet on this right? surely you want me to scratch it or SOMETHING"

ETA, I really need to go to bed, but you guys are killing me and I want to try this. :p

More paw pods:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY13BEc9mWU

Excuse my Powerpuff Girls pajama pants... I was getting ready for bed...

Ditched the clicker by the end for Auggie. I don't think it's helping him figure out what I want is for you to put one paw on each pod and then HOLD THE POSITION. We'll try without a clicker next time and see what happens.

Usually when I'm building duration I drop the clicker fairly quickly. I train implied stays with a lot of stuff and once I get the behavior on cue, then I'll delay the click a little bit more each time until I'm at about 10-15 seconds duration, at which point I replace the click with the release cue.

To me it looked like Auggie was still struggling with the concept, so in your place I likely wouldn't be looking to add duration much yet. How does he do if you space the pods further apart? If you use a solid surface vs a pod?

Aeri did much better on her two paws up stuff when I switched to a more stable surface, so maybe Auggie might fare better if you teach the behavior on a solid surface first, then transition it to the pods?

I need to figure out how to get video from my mini camcorder onto my phone so I can upload some more vids.

Here's what I'm working on with my hooligans

Bamm-
Right now my main focus with him is his reactivity issues. We've been playing LAT out on walks and at home I've been clicking him whenever he just plain relaxes since he is always so on edge and anxious. It seems to be helping him a ton actually.

As far as tricks. We are working on him retrieving to my hand so we can build up on him retrieving drinks from the fridge. We are also going to start a handstand and we're working on him weaving through cones pushing a soccer ball with his nose.

Cricket-
We are preparing to take her CGC test soon so we are working on perfecting our heels and sit/down stays. We've been practicing proper greetings with people and other dogs and reactions to friendly strangers. Recall work.

Tricks- pushing a ball with her nose, bang/play dead, standing on hind legs which I'm hoping to shape to either hopping or walking on hind legs. We are also working on crawl right now.

Heres a session I did with Quinn thismorning. After watching it back I relised I didn't plan it well enough and we probably didn't progress much other than building core strength. I don't want to over do it and make her sore either.

Next session we'll be working on her getting more vertical without the food lure.

She's looking good!

I am completely jealous of your ability to wear shorts and a t-shirt outside though. :p

That's great!! Love Poppy helping!

That's pretty much were we've stalled out. I'm just working on him staying completely vertical, being able to hold it and get into the position fast to build the muscle and muscle memory.

And working on raising his back legs up independently.

I figure we do this for awhile and it will lead to the handstand. He already tries to get both back legs off the ground when away from a wall, just can't figure out how yet and when up on the board he will push forward off it a bit.

Hand Stand Against Wall

We have no open wall in our house so I had to do it outside but there was no hesitation at all with him! He got right to it. Pulled his feet off the wall a couple times too.

He's such a good boy

LOVE all the handstand videos. Except you mroses cause I had that handstand song stuck in my head forever!! LOL. Linds, Trav is awesome and you guys are adorable together and Erin, if Snipe ever goes missing she is DEFINITELY not at my house. Nope, definitely not. <shifty eyes>

Here's my contribution.
