I find movement in dogs more attractive than their still appearance. I like dogs that 'float' and who move quickly, with lots of energy.

Pointy faces and uppy-ears are just a bonus.

I do think Elsie is very pretty.

Working type dogs.

I love this dog. Too bad this kennel is not breeding dogs like this anymore.

The first UKC and ADBA Gr Ch APBT

I don't mind "show" type dogs, either as long as they are able to accomplish the same things "working type" dogs are able to do. I don't care for a lot of AKC/UKC dual registered dogs though.

One of the first SuperDogs..

I'm not sure. I tend to be drawn to sleek, athletic looking dogs that are medium(ish) in size. Like Belgians, Koolies, Kelpies, Border Collies, Tollers (not the really heavy boned ones though), Vizsla, Dobermans, etc. Something that looks like it's made to run and jump and play and work. That's what I like to live with, as long as they have a good off switch to go with it.

That said, I also am drawn looks wise to a lot of Giant and mastiff types for some reason. Total opposite end of the spectrum, and not sure if I'd actually own any for real, but there is just something about them I like. Like St. Bernards, Leonbergers, Boerboels, etc.

Border collies are my favorite type, obviously. And yes, I do believe they are a type rather than a breed.

I like short haired, floppy or petal type ears (I hate cropped ears) on a muscular, but not extreme dog. I like a lot of the medium and smaller Pits, field type Labs, etc. Not a big fan of the Sighthounds, the really thick and slow Labs, and most herding dogs. My friend's 9 month old blue and white Pit is an awesome looking pup, and on top if it, King actually seems to like him!

Muscular, deep chest, nice tuck, long legs, chunky head, or pretty head.

Short coat, or wirehaired.

Something that can bounce, swim and run!!

I've posted this pic before, but I think it is the easiest way to describe my "type" LOL

Brown, moderate body type, with pointy ears! (All are herding breeds or herding breed mixes as well)
I think this is my type. Love the square body with pointy ears, moderate snout/muzzle. I also love the look of mexi dogs (which aren't a far cry from the above dogs, really, as far a body type, size, and ears).

I also love sighthounds, and most breeds with super short smooth coats.

I like several different looks in dogs though.

I really like this "type" of dog. I would typically say breed, but because of politics, they aren't recognized by a breed. And no, they aren't Alaskan Huskies.

I like big ol' boys. Seriously. LOL Give me a big ol' male dog from almost any breed and I will be swooning over it. I think it has something to do with the head and eyes, maybe? So big, block heads, muscular, thick body, long, powerful legs, short coated.

Like this handsome man:

Or this:

Or even this:

and this:

Nice, big, solid, leggy, thick dogs.
