Or at least, the baby is one. It's the final stage of fruits.

I've been having crazy Braxton Hicks, my belly turns to a rock anytime I try to move. (The midwife says that this is a sign we'll probably go into labour sooner than later). Little one basically hangs out head down these days with his back along my left side, butt sticking out, and with feet kicking me regularly. He still moves around like crazy, just wiggling in that position.

Tomorrow is my last day at work. I'm really looking forward to having some time to get things done at home.

Just wanted to give you guys an update :)

YAY!! WATERMELON!
So exciting!! Pictures of baby crib/nursery yet?

The whole idea that there is a kicking, moving baby inside of you is just wild! I've always wanted to ask this.. but PLEASE don't be offended.. does it ever creep you out?.. like, there is a TINY PERSON INSIDE OF YOU!

Thanks guys :)

Dekka and Maf - I kind of miss the Banana phase! I was a heck of a lot smaller, more comfortable, and wasn't covered in stretch marks ;)

Fran - I'm not offended at all! I completely freak out like that every now and then. Just stop and think "OH MY GOD I'VE GOT A BABY IN THERE!" At this point I don't entirely feel ready for a baby to welcome our life, but there isn't much choice! I also have moments of total fear. Kind of "There is going to be a CHILD. A child that WE are responsible for." I know we'll be fine, and I'm sure lots of people have these moments of freak-out!

Hooray for Watermelons :)

yes the feeling of "not ready" is totally normal :) This is a HUGE life changing event... one of the best ones you will ever experience... but scary none the less lol. If you weren't questioning your readiness, that would worry me more lol.

HAHA about the creeped out thing. I remember being horizontal on the couch and lifting my shirt over my belly and just watching the body parts protrude and move around. it was like that scene in Alien lol. SO weird but SO cool.

Enjoy this last little while of him moving around inside if you love that feeling. (that was my favorite part) It will be soon that you won't be able to send him back. Hope you get lots done in the house and everything goes smoothly when the time comes and that you are filled with joy at his arrival. Good luck!:)

You're in the home stretch! How exciting!

and haha yeah pregnant bellies are weird indeed. You could see Briggs kicking and rumbling inside of me before I even looked pregnant. I looked like I had wicked gas or something.

Soooo exciting! I love babies/pregnancy. I mean I've never been pregnant, but the idea of it all is really beautiful and awesome.

You are a weird weird woman :lol-sign:

People told me that there would be days I wished he was back in there. NOT once. Pregnancy was horrible (other than my awesome skin and hair) and creepy. Very cool, but not something I have ever done again.. I hated it!

Once he was out things were good. Never wanted him back in there.

(he is now 11, and playing on his PS3 with a friend who stayed over.. I need to go make them bacon and eggs :) its been a while but NEVER AGAIN has been my motto!)

I'm right there with you, lol. Although my kiddo is one, not 11. (I do dream of the day when he's 11 and doing things like sleeping through the night, though...)

Yay!!!!! I'm so excited for you! I wish so bad I could be in your shoes right now, but getting pregnant apparently isn't as easy for me as I had hoped. Gotta keep trying I guess lol.

I can't wait to see pics of your little one. :)

oh I am so excited for you!! I loved being pregnant--even when things were a little difficult (bed rest)--the feeling of that little being inside of you is indescribable!

I loved being prego, most of the time anyhow....with the exception of some of the uncomfortable feelings right at the beginning and the end. I loved the baby moving around in there, the little kicks and punches, such a happy feeling. And once my daughter was born, well....she was a screamer. There were definitely times when I wished I could cram her back up there. It would be quieter, for sure. :rofl1:
