Looking for a Christmas present for your husband/BF/whatever?

If anyone elses SO is like mine, they're a bit obsessed with cars. I stumbled across this deal on Living Social today and couldn't pass it up.. for $182 they get to drive a Nascar car for 5min., with no one else in the car, on the track! I think there are 9 different tracks across the US too, so location shouldn't be a huge issue.

Only for 5minutes? Thats a bit short lol. For $180 you'd think it would 30min or so.

Oh you can pay more and get more drive time, but I didn't want to spend anymore LOL. My dad did it a few years back and said they let him drive for longer than that, so hopefully that'll happen. Either way, he'll be stoked.

I wish the Mario Andretti Racing Experience deal would pop back up. I want to drive an Indy car! Lol.

For as much fuel you'll burn in those 5 minutes, I think the price is about right. Lol. Not to mention you usually have some classroom instruction before you hit the track.

I went to a Chevy driving school. You either had a Corvette or a Camaro SS. Being the Camaro junkie that I am, I drove an SS. But I did get to run a quarter mile in a Corvette Z06. That was a weekend I shared with my Dad and will never forget. Sometimes the cost is nothing compared to the everlasting memories.

I wish there were a track near here offering it. I'd love to get that for my dad. He's so hard to shop for- that would FLOOR him.

I'd love to get that for my Dad, but it's 6 hours to the closest track for him. But he would love it I'm sure. He is a huge NASCAR fan and actually used to race his own stock car before I was born.

My dad did the R petty racing expirence, seems theres more tracks across the states.

I'm thinking that Eric (the fiance) will want to go to Charlotte, NC for this, it's a really nice track. It's 6hrs. away.. you guys could make it a road trip
