Now, I am not sure when I will end up with another sheltie. But I do know I will have one in the future.

I know this sounds odd but I know a lot more about breeders as far as the other breeds I'm interested in. Much less about shelties. After all, it's been 16 years since we got one and his breeder isn't breeding at all anymore. And I am WELL versed in the issues found in the breed. I would definitely want to avoid them.

I am just really missing this:

It still feels weird around here without them.

Anyone have any good links or breeder recommendations? I know if I ever get a non-rescue sheltie I'm going to be super picky in regards to temperament/breeder.

You have Bailey, free to good home.
No wait... I'll PAY you to take her!!!

:rofl1:

In a lot of ways she's not the dog I wanted, but the dog (I didn't know) I needed. Yesterday? Perfect, stable, wonderful temperment, worked perfectly, we were so in tune.... Today?
Avoid her type like the plague :rofl1: LOL

I'm not a Sheltie person at all, so don't know lines/pedigrees/health etc. I know a couple nice, drivey, friendly dogs who do well in agility and obedience from this breeder: performance

Also know a nice MACH Sheltie from here: http://www.vistadeishelties.com/

This issue of Clean Run also interviews several breeders of successful agility dogs, including a Sheltie breeder, so ay be worth checking out: Clean Run: 03/2011—March 2011 Printed Magazine

I know some breeders in Florida, but that might be a stretch. Performance dogs with great temperaments.
Actually, I'd like to know the ones you think are good if you wouldn't mind, I'm interested in them, and I'd like to get acquainted with a breeder near me

We lost our resue Sassy Sheltie last year.
Missed her so much that 2 weeks latter I found a breeder in Houston and committed.
Savvy Sheltie is now 1 year old and all is well.

Colliewog, can you PM me too? I don't mind going a long ways for a good sheltie. :)

Thanks guys! Not sure when a sheltie would be in the cards but it'll happen again for sure one day.
