Okay, so I only have a few pictures of Duncan, and they aren't really good, but I'm hoping to get some new, better ones this weekend.

He's 90+ lbs (he jumped off the scale as it was going onto 91, brat!). He's tall, I got the biggest crate I could find and he still ducks his head when he's in it, it's 33" high (48 inches long and his paws nearly stick out under the crate door,)- when he stands up on his hind legs he's taller than me and I'm 5'2". He has a double coat, kind of a thin wispy outer coat, red. He has a really skinny, deep chest.

I need better pictures, but for now this is what I have.

He's my Southern mutt rescue so I wouldn't really be surprised if he has several breeds in him. We say he's a GSD/Golden Retriever mix but who knows. He's my Duncanstein, :)

I throw in sighthound because of the shape of his chest and his prey drive, but I don't really see any particular breed of sighthound in him. As he's gotten older he's started to look less and less like what was suggested by others, and then because I don't know I make wild conjecture based off of fantasy breeds or breeds I like.

wow, he's really lanky isn't he!? I'd always thought he just looked like a typical chow/retriever/?? mix (and he does in the last two photos), but those first two really show how tall and leggy he is. Sorry, no great guesses or anything, but he's cute. I would love to see more photos of both of them!

Yeah, he is a lanky boy. He's limbs are all 6 inches longer than he thinks they are-- very klutzy boy!

Looks to me, and sounds to me (judging by his size) that he has some Leonberger mixed in there.
I thought Leo mix, too, but, unless he's still pretty young, the size doesn't fit, nor the lankiness. Plus they are really all the popular. I'd say Golden/GSD/Chow would be a good guess.

I would love to say Leo, but I don't really believe it, :(

Anyone see Irish Setter? *cocks head* These pictures don't really show it, but he's more red than brown.

Considering how short his snout and ears are and how small his jowls are I would say no to the irish setter... Other than that I got nothin.

Good looking boy though, and those legs are loooooong.

****, Ronin is such a pretty boy. I was hoping Duncan was his long lost half brother.
