I was just looking through an old Dog Fancy and saw a little blurb about amber collars to repel ticks. Anyone ever used one or heard of this?

I've never heard of this before. Have you tried google?

ETA: I just googled. They are really cute! They are like leather collars with amber beads. I don't see how it's going to work, but they are certainly cute!

Hmmmm . . . . If I can catch the Asheville Rock and Gem show I might have to see about getting some amber and making sets for it that can be attached to collars. I'll bet Becca could come up with something awesome :D

I have also thought of making one myself, but then found Ambertick amber collars which are sold quite cheaply. The quality is great since it is shipped directly from Europe. My dog (Coce) just started wearing it, so I am still waiting to see the results :)

I've seen the add, never tried the product, call me a skeptic, but I am. At the price I still haven't even bought/tried the "Shoo tag" either, anyone here tried that one yet? It's been around several years now but still haven't heard any real good testimonials.
