He is a baby Pyrshep  Quite a few people have thought he was a Terv (or today at work, someone asked if he was a puppy from the shelter LOL). Have had a few guesses of Afghan too. He's just over 3 months old and is a fawn smooth face (at least he should be a smooth face, it can be hard to tell sometimes) with natural tails and ears. I brought him home Tuesday night and he's been such a good puppy so far! Very smart and already quite devoted.

His name was Benjamin but I'm going to change it because I know lots of Bens already. Just don't know yet what his name will be :)

Oh, look at that little baby bird hair! I've been very interested in Pyr Sheps, but haven't been able to get in touch with someone who actually owns one. Watching this baby grow up will be very interesting to me.

Would you mind pming me what breeder you went to? I've looked into them on and off and even talked to a bunch of breeders a couple years ago. I was pretty set on one then my mom died and I put off the puppy for a year and somehow ended up with Mia instead. lol

VERY jealous! Smooth or rough?

I've been looking at them for years :)

He's supposed to be a smooth face but I guess they can sometimes surprise you LOL I thought I remembered you looking at PyrSheps a few years ago but figured you decided against one because they can be...weird.

I'll PM you the details but he came from what I'd consider the main breeder of them in the US. She lives just a few counties from me.

I've looked at them on and off but decided against them at the time because I really couldn't get one without meeting some first. And the breeders I talked to required that you meet some before buying since they can be 'weird' as you say. I LOVE the sound of them though, they sound on paper absolutely perfect. But I want to meet quite a few and there's really none in this area.

I want to hear everything about him as he grows up and I definitely want lots of pictures. ;)

One of Mia's brother's owners just got a pyr shep pup and I've been loving watching him grow through the updates that they send to mia's breeder.

I think it's probably the same breeder I talked to a couple times, actually.
