Kat went to practice screaming... not that she needs much practice. There was much commenting on her loudness.

In the tunnel

Do you mind? I was screaming in here...

Its hard to get pics of your dog when you are the camera owner and your dog is good (therefore goes in, does her thing, and then leaves)

Not my JRT

Also not my JRT but cute!

Wait, what is this? This is not a terrier!

Hey lady bring that back!!

Thanx.. now how to open the take out container....

Go in there.. why?

oooh thats why!

oh to have opposable thumbs.

the end

I adore Kat! The second picture, the one of her in the tunnel is a great picture. I just really really like that one.

Looks like a ton of fun though, jealous!

Gosh, Mia would LOVE that. lol

So would Ada but she'd probably be too big to go down the hole.

Yeah it's a rat.

I have very little practice with Kerri's DSLR.. I don't have one, I'm used to point and click. I'm thrilled I got that pic of her in the tunnel..

You should look for a JRT funday or something similar near you.. Email and tell them you want to try your prey driven pap on rats..

How tall is Ada? Smudge is 14.5".. People made comments they were shocked he fit, but I've seen terriers bigger than him play.

So neat! I just started doing GTG with my girls. Spud loves it, OE isn't too sure. Too bad you couldn't get pics of your own dogs ... I feel your pain!

Have fun with it!

NO STEALING MOO.

I want them both.

Dekka, the pics are fab. Smudgie looks amazing and the JRTS (even the "not yours" ones) are gorgeous.

It was just Kat of mine there. The rest of my JRTs already have JRTCC trial championships in go to ground. Sadly Sox, my rat passed away this winter so we have no practise rattie.

Gosh, Mia would LOVE that. lol

Unless she is seriously huge she will fit. A friend's BC can fit in the tunnels, though she can't do the turns. You should try it with Mia!

Thanks! Smudge is so frickin hard to photograph!! His cuteness almost never comes through. I LOVE the pic of him coming out of the tunnel. The neon green grass annoyed me, but that WAS the colour of the grass.

That is soooo awesome! I wish I knew of a place here that did it. I'll have to look further into it. I think Jackson would love it!

I'd like to play again.. I'd really like a junior earthdog title down the road.. But on the farm he gets to kill rats.. playing by the earthdog rules he's a little less happy that you get frustrated and have no real rat contact....

Is it wrong I want to frame

Almost feels a little wrong..

Super cool! I'd be interested in getting Hazmat a try at this... I mean... if he would.. lol he has a huge head but he's only 22lbs so I figure he'd fit?

Any tips on finding a terrier day locally?

Smudge is 23-25 pounds, 14.5" tall. He found it tighter than he'd like around the chest at times, but it wasn't THAT tight.

Google I'd suggest. Earthdog fun days, Terrier fun days, Dog fundays..

Love them all. Smudge is so **** cute. And that look Kat was giving when the top opened. If looks could fry people they would be gone.

I found one that is actually in my dads city where he lives but it says it's only for AKC registered dogs and certain terriers.

WPA Earthdog

I'm going to keep looking. I'd love to do it just for fun with Jackson to see how he reacts.

I'd call them honestly. I know it says member in good standing with the AKC, I'd feel out the club. A call or email introducing yourself and your dog, express interest in 'their' sport and that you'd be interested in joining although your dog is not a breed that could do an AKC test, and see what they say.

It may go over not so well, but it might go over fine.. It really depends upon the members of the club. Some may be thrilled you are interested and would like to learn, they may be okay teaching you and Jackson as it seems their monthly practices involve an aspect of teaching, not just run throughs. Being a terrier with a ratting background although not in the earth, they may take it better than you think.
