We have a bunch of horse shampoos on clearance at work so I'm going to be picking a couple up this weekend. I really don't full out bathe the horses that much, and they're so yummy smelling I got to wondering if I could use them on the dogs. I read somewhere that their pH levels were really similar, and then I read the opposite, so I have no idea.

I use Mane and Tail on my dogs...and on me lol. I haven't used any others, though I have heard a lot of people say whitening horse shampoos are a lot better than whitening dog shampoos.

Thanks for the quick reply! Thats good to know (;

Yeah, horse whitening shampoos are awesome. It's unbelievable how white those dirt socks and stockings turn up. Quic Silver is definitely my favorite, if anyone is wondering! Heard great things about Orvus, too.

ETA: Just found the exact same shampoos but the 'dog' versions. This is a horse company so I highly doubt they'd change the formula to make it just for dogs, so that's comforting!

I've used horse shampoo on the Dogs.. Horse shampoo on me.. People shampoo on the dogs.. and even once (through honest error) dog shampoo on me! lol

lol no harm done! I know there is some PH balance issues and stuff.. but I haven't seen a problem.

Although ROMEO DID NOT appreciate herbal essences. He smelled like coconut for a while lol

Haha, thanks everyone! Just called work and asked them to put a few bottles aside - hoping they aren't all gone, they're on clearance (reg 15ish on sale for $5). If I'm lucky Quinn will be smelling like an orange creamsicle this summer!
