BEAUTIFUL dogs... great personalities. Mostly males, but some females, too. Not all of them are runners some were probably dumped for the DP to find. the elkhound has been there one of the longest!

Do you know if John Nelson Moosedog Rescue is aware of the Elkhound?

Not that I know of, other volunteers have cross-posted, but I don't know to where exactly. No one has called or made arrangements to pull to the best of my knowledge.

My friend pulls elkhounds from shelters and helps transport them for the national elkhound club. Unfortunately she couldn't help with this one, but I do know that the national club is very active with rescue - they have a long waiting list of adopters. I hope you or the shelter can contact them!
