For those married folks... how do you view your spouse?

Is she like a business partner in your marriage?

Is he your friend?

Is she a blob on your couch who just takes your money?

Zachary is my very best friend, the only person in the world I can be 150% myself around. He is my confidant, my adviser, and my biggest cheerleader (and I hope I'm the same for him).

Neither of us takes the other's money. We have to reassure each other dozens of times that it's OKAY to spend money on things for ourselves!

I'd say Mike (who might as well be my spouse) is my partner. Not necessarily like a business partner, but something along those lines. We're a team. We are very good friends, but its a different sort of relationship than I have with other friends (and not just the sex part).

I completely agree. I don't have anything else to add to that, so I'm swiping it :rofl1:

Although Tyler and I are not married yet, I see him as my best friend and my partner in crime. He is a person I can always rely on for anything and we have complete and utter trust in eachother. We compliment each other nicely as well. Where I am weak he is strong and vise versa.

When it come to money were pretty much 50/50 with spending. We try to keep it equal and fair.

I view Kevin as my friend, my partner, my business partner, my sex slave, and a whole lot more! LOL So there is no single choice up there for me to vote (I did hover over the spaghetti though, I'm hungry!)

I voted friend. Considering that me and Matt started out that way things would be severely screwed up if we weren't friends anymore. :p I guess technically I'm a sugar momma (?) since he's on unemployment right now and I'm making more than him. But we're still friends. Lol.

My spouse is definitely my best friend, even when he comes home moody because he had a rough day at work LOL... In all honesty... I have never ever felt closer to a man in my life the way I feel with him. We can tell each other anything and we respect each other's interests, hobbies, etc. Money is very 50/50 in the way it's spent even though he's the only one earning most if not all of the income. I just earn a little here and there from side jobs, photo jobs, etc.

though I gotta say... spaghetti sounds awfully yummy right now

My best friend and anchor in this world. He's seen me through some of my very worst moments and still thinks the best of me.

Well, I'll have to say that the couple of men I've lived with basically took up space, considered me the household serf and spent the money I made faster than I could make it.

And they both wondered why I wouldn't marry them . . . .

I voted there to fill my sexual needs, lol, though obviously this is untrue as in the past 1.75 years we have lived in the same time zone for 5 months. I have more needs than that! (and for those, there is Zoom :rofl1:)

In truth, he's my best friend. I'd rather sit and talk on the phone with him at 1,100 miles away than go out with anybody or group of peoples here. He's been there with my at my worst (I'm pretty sure any sane person would have hit the road, lol) and at my best. I love him unconditionally even though sometimes I think it would feel really good to beat his head against a post a few times :p

My SO (future spouse ;) ) is my best friend. He is the ONLY person I feel like I can be 110% myself with. I'm really a loner at heart and he's the only person that I have found that I actually WANT to spend all day every day with. I really can't imagine myself with anyone else. We just mesh so well together.

I thought he was my bestfriend, my soulmate... but looking back on it now we both totally just used the other one for sex. It was convienant, we both had high sex drives and were into the same weird things. Heh.

Uh...PW...I like you and all, but totally as a friend. Plus, Tedward doesn't share so well. :rofl1:

Don't have a spouse, but my SO and I can talk about anything, I totally be myself with me (and vice versa) and I just...feel better being around him. Calmer and such. I'm not quite sure how to explain, so I'm totally swiping a quote from Buffy to do it for me. Just please substitute in the appropriate gender swap:

Hey, I'm well aware of how lucky I am. Like, lottery lucky. Buffy's like nobody else in the world. When I'm with her, it's like... it's like I'm split in two. Half of me is just on fire, going crazy if I'm not touching her. The other half is so still and peaceful, just perfectly content... just knows: this is the one
