Since there are people in this world indulging in perverted acts on their own pets as well as unsuspecting neighbours/friends and relatives ones too, who left them in their care trusting them, so how does one know if their loving pet has been abused? are there any signs to look for? my dog is acting a bit clingy and seems depressed and I'm wondering this of my male household employee, as in the mornings the dog is alone with him, not that he runs away from the chap or barks at him, but still.

Never been faced with such a situation so I have no idea. If you think that is a possibility I would keep your dog away from this person.

Uhhhhhhh...................

I'm going to try and give take this seriously so here goes.

You would notice trauma (bruising, tearing, bleeding, swelling, etc.) of the vaginal and/or anal area. The dog would likely be lethargic, not wanting to eat or drink, and be fearfull and/or aggressive about being touched or handled.

If he seems friendly toward the man, or at least not aggressive, he's probably fine.

Also, as Mia said, there would be obvious physical signs.

It's WAAAAY more likely the problem is anything else. I know the time change throws my pets off, and my dog gets a little depressed when the days get shorter and colder. If there's been any kind of a change lately (is the man new to working with you?) that could also trigger mood changes.

It does make me wonder what has prompted you to think this about the man? If you're even entertaining the idea that he could possibly be sexually abusing your dog, maybe he's not such a great person to be around. Is there anything else about him that has made you distrust him?

A gal on another forum owned a small breed dog confiscated from an abuse case and it was extremely fear aggressive about being touched on the rear. It also suffered from severe health issues associated with such blunt tearing.

"It's WAAAAY more likely the problem is anything else."

I completely agree.

Doubt the dog is being sexually abused . . . but I do know that this poster is on at least 2 spam/troll lists . . . We shall see if that's merited or not, I suppose, since the rest of their posts seem legit.

I am reading this thinking

extremely fear aggressive about being touched on the rear.
My husky broke her tail as a pup and to this day will bite and growl if you go near the top of her tail. I hope no one has any ideas:eek:

There was a man talked about on the horse forums who I think was let loose after killing horses and I think he raped the bodies after he killed them? I didn't get the entire story-it was to sick to read:eek:

My same thought! o_O His tail didn't break though :lol-sign:

There was just a guy around here who is going to jail for having sex with sheep and people would come from out of town and pay him for time with the sheep as well. SO disturbing.

That's like the joke . . .

What do you call a guy walking down an Alabama road on a Friday night with a sheep?

Lucky.

And what do you call a guy walking down an Alabama road on a Friday night with TWO sheep?

A pimp.
