Robbie,
I apologize for calling you rotten things. I get a little fired up sometimes. I perceived your later posts as flippant and ungrateful. I was, in my first post genuinely trying to help by suggesting you skim through a few links to get the general idea behind some effective training concepts. Then after you would (theoretically) read some of that, I was planning on giving you some specifics for this situation. That way, you'd be able to apply the concepts more easily than simply telling you some method that you might not understand the why's and wherefores. It's like learning anything. Learning by rote is not very complete learning.
When one comes on a forum, asking for advice, one does not have the luxury of dictating to others just exactly how or what kind of advice is going to be delivered. People don't usually come on the forum, demanding of others to say exactly what you want to hear. When you ask for advice or even if you're just posting anything, people post their opinions. That's what a forum is...it's the intrinsic nature of a forum.
When you began griping about what advice I was giving you, and being what I perceived to be flippant, sarcastic remarks, I reacted with shock and disbelief at how someone, new to the forum, or even not new, could act that way.
I do apologize for my part in perpetuating the jabs and I hope you can get over it and hopefully stay and learn some things about training and just plain joining in. I can get past it if you can.
