Would you all think I was crazy if I added a 5th?

Nope. You seem to have a good handle on providing mental/physical stimulation to all of your guys, so why not?

And details woman, detail! :p

yes, i think you need another Chi.

And then because everythign needs to be in even numbers you should add another BC. :yikes: :p
Oh dear god no. lol.

I thought about it. And then quickly decided that one Border Collie Monster was enough for me.

Although I'd love a little black and white rough coat girl to even things out.

But... the chihuahuas are much too easy/addictive. And since we own a big house and have a fenced in yard, I figured you can't have too many tiny dogs. Ha.

I'm very, very picky, though. And my breeder's current litter didn't produce what I was looking for.

I'm really not sure I want to add a 5th. Haha. Only if "the" perfect dog comes along.

I think you should get a pap. ;) They're like... border collies in chi size!
Hahaha!

I was thinking Papillon as well... but I keep going back to Chihuahuas.

Do you happen to know of any good pap breeders in the South East?

The 5th needs to be a girl. We have more than enough testosterone in our household at the moment.

There's a lot of good breeders in Florida. The PCA has a good breeder's list and there's a TON in Florida.

PCA Breeders List

I had a friend that used to handle for Elmac's in particular and I've heard good things about them. Wildfire too. I've heard of a lot of the others too.

I'm totally biased about the breed though, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about whether you should or not! They really are great though. :D

Why not?
I honestly think my limit would be 7 dogs (don't kill me) but that would all depend on housing/financial.

Thanks for the link, Laur :) I've been interested in Paps for a while, but chihuahuas are my heart breed <3 . Your paps are gorgeous and they've definitely made me interested in them!

Right now we have about 50lbs in dogs total. Haha. My herding instructor has... 9 Border Collies. So I guess 4 little dogs + 1 medium sized dog wouldn't be so bad.

Why not?

Figure that I've got roughly 270+ pounds of dog . . . you've got a long way to go :D
So by that math... I can have 37 papillons? :D

We've done 6 before- two shelties and then 4 paps and I don't think I could do much more than that without another set of hands. I guess it would depend on if they were all Mias or if they were all Roses.... I could have dozens of Roses without problem. Two Mias might be my limit though!

No problem for the links. You could always just tell people Rory and Riley had the papillon. ;)

The sad thing is that most people would believe that, I'd bet :rofl1:

When Tucker was a puppy, someone asked me if he was Rylie and Chloe's puppy :yikes:

I'm probably asking for it. My 4 are finally getting settled in and are getting along pretty well... and now I want to ruin the peace and add a 5th. Haha.

When we just had the shelties and Beau we were always asked if the shelties were Beau's parents. :rofl1:

I've found once you get past three it really doesn't make much of a difference. What's ONE more <10 lb dog? ;)
