2 things.

I'm not Foxy's biggest fan, and if anything, were I in Pam's shoes I would have an issue with trusting her opinion of the health of these puppies. That aside, the pups need homes and I don't see any reason to summon the wrath of Chaz onto Pam for giving a puppy a home.

I'm torn on this one, because I think what Foxy is doing (by selling these puppies, clearly for profit) is despicable. My issues are with Foxy, though - not Pam. I wish you could find a good pup elsewhere Pam, but I know that sometimes finding the right puppy is difficult. I hope this is the right puppy for you, and I hope he's healthy and long lived. Good luck with a pup and a toddler at the same time :yikes:

I havn't really weighed in on this whole situation yet because I don't really know how I feel about it.

Pam, I'm glad you found a puppy you think is a good fit, I'm glad you can give a baby a great home.

In the end its a matter of ethics, and ethics are never straighforward.

the web page is there...just changed
i havent looked at it yet , but if she did no wrong why change it ,,,,

ya know never mind it doent matter as she is to cowardly to explain herself here , where she was a mod who talked a good walk , but alas was really a liar.

anyway , i do ask you pam , did she at least give you a deal , or do you have to pay the outrageous price for a ooopppssss never should have been born puppy.

i dont want to know what you paid , i just hope she was decent enough to not bilk you like she is all the other puppy buyers

well, considering none of the puppies are still for sale, I don't know why she would leave the ad up?

I agree with RD... I wouldn't know how to trust someone who's lied repeatedly in the past... I hope that she was honest to you about the parents' health and that your puppy will be healthy... and that she didn't charge you a ton for him, considering that she's pretty much a BYB.

I think that you all need to back off of Pam. Seriously, it is her decision! My goodness, what is wrong with you people?!?

Pam, I'm happy that you are getting this puppy and that you will be responsible and get it neutered. I think that it will give you great joy. I also wanted to say that I have a toddler AND an infant AND my dogs AND we foster occasionally. Guess what? I also go to school, and my husband is being deployed. It's not that hard.

I cannot wait to see your baby Crestie!!! *squee* I am going to be soooo jealous.

As for Foxy, I don't agree with her choices at ALL, but whatev... hypocracy really, really bothers me... especially when some one is beyond preachy like she is. But that puppy still needs a good home, and yours will be amazing for sure.

My problem is with Foxy, not with Pam.. so I see no reason for bashing her on this thread.

Pam, I know will be a great owner to that puppy and will have her spayed. and im glad that puppy found a great home even if the puppy is from a bad breeder.

Foxy isn't a "breeder" I would EVER support by buying a puppy from. this obviously wasnt an "oops" litter. anybody who saw the website before the "im gonna cover my butt" remodel, could see that.

but thats the point its not my money, my puppy, or my decision. its Pam's.

Whats that saying about throwing stones...

every decision I've made in my life hasn't been a totally calculated, smart, well thought out decision lol
sometimes, I do things because I want to, I let my emotions lead the way.. even though it isn't the "right" thing to do. I do it anyway..because I want to.

I know I've had moment where I look at Romeo and think... wouldn't his puppies be so cute?
I've had moments where I walk by a petstore and think... oh would it do any harm if I just took ONE home?

and of course the moment where, as a freshman in college, I looked online, found a great breeder and got Romeo.
smart? probably not.
but I did it because I wanted to. I wanted a dog soo bad, and I just.. did it. and I know many here did not approve.
what is a "logical" choice? Nope. but I couldn't be happier. Romeo is the sunshine in my hectic life, and he and I are both very happy.

Sometimes pro/con lists, facts and what my brain is telling me..be damned because sometimes, I just let my emotions take over.
and anyone who that has never happened to, go ahead and judge pam for going through a hard time in her life and wanting something...happy. a warm happy puppy to put a smile on her face even if it isn't the most logical decision.

thats my 2 cents.

It is pretty rude to say that because I'm sick I shouldn't have a dog. I have other pets and a baby. They are taken care of. I have a husband. I'm not alone. And my husband works for his mother at a doggy grooming/daycare where my dogs are welcome for free anytime. Damien doesn't go to daycare, so one of us is always home. I'd say that's a better situation than if I were healthy and at work all day

If Pam had gotten a puppy from the same circumstances (byb, oops, unplanned litter, whatever you want to call it) from anyone other than Foxy, people wouldn't have a problem with it (or as much so). I think people need to take their issue with Foxy on the other thread and leave Pam alone, but that's just me.

Unless someone plans on putting the puppies back where they came from, they still need a home. Would it be any different if she had gone through a rescue or off CL (like some have suggested) with "unknown" health history/parentage?

Just my 2cents.

Actually I think people would have gotten just as angry, I actually think people are being much gentler because we are talking to Pam, not a newbie that we don't know, and because Pam is handling this all so well (when people get defensive and angry people respond with more anger and emotion). If someone posts they are getting a dog from such and such a breeder and people see it's a BYB they certainly urge the person to reconsider and if they don't seem to care that they are going to a BYB and say they are just going to do it anyways people get mad. That is assuming it wasn't an oops but was an intended litter.

I completely agree. I can say, without doubt, I would have the same issues with a CL puppy or another byb puppy.
