Hello all, I just joined the forum.

Please tell me your favorite dog food and why you like it.

The price, its all natural, dogs on an all raw diet, anything.

I'll start: I like Newman's Own Organic, there are no chemical fertilizers, no antibiotics, no steroids, no chemical additives,
no artificial preservatives, no wheat or corn.

I am trying to make a website www.myhealthydogfood.com

where people can submit there dog food reviews.
I'm not selling anything, just trying to help peolple out.

Hi John. Welcome to Chaz.

I looked at your site. Interesting info about your experience you've put there. FWIW, I'm not likely to click on the links you have in there, though, as they are littered with clickbank urls.

hey welcome to chaz.

I feed my dogs Taste of the wild. I feed it because it is high quality and grain free. With real meat in it. Also because my dogs love the taste of it. I pay about 66.00 dollars for a 30 pound bag.

Sorry, I should have included that info.

Xena gets Merrick Wilderness Blend. It's not grain free, but I'm fine with that. I pay about 50 bucks for the 30 pound bag, which I think is pretty good, considering they sell it for 76 bucks on their web site.

California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice because my dogs need a low protein diet and they are one of the few companies to make a small bites formula in a low protein food.

Its fine, I much preferred FROMM grain free, I can already see their coats dulling but such is life I suppose.

Pre-Made raw. I rotate between Chicken, Turkey, Bison, Elk, Rabbit, and Beef. It ranges between $10-25 for 5lbs.

.

I feed BARF, predator style, but with some veggies as well. I pay about 69 C per pound for chicken leg quarters, or about 53 c per day for a 40 pound dog. I get liver for free. He also gets various beef bones from the freezer cow.

I have one little foster on kibble because she came to us with mange, 1/3 of her fur gone and she couldn't be outside with her chicken wings or legs because of the cold. She is on Taste of the Wild. I am feeding TOTW because it was the best food that Tractor Supply had.

EVO RM. This explains why pretty succinctly, along with the fact that Natura is an ethical company. Meat-Based Pet Food – Premium Dog Food, Cat Food, Ferret Food, Dog Treats – EVO Pet Products

I pay $52 for a 28.6 lb. bag.

My three also eat raw from time to time, although Bimmer, my GSD/wolf rescue, actually prefers the EVO RM to raw poultry!

Incidentally, most of us refer people with questions to The Dog Food Project - How does your Dog Food Brand compare? The research is impeccable.

Raw with some veggies. Mostly chicken, duck & turkey 2nd, and lamb and beef third. I supp with vitamins.

Chicken I norm pay around $1/pound. The rest of the meat is $1.50/pound. Vitamins cost about $20 for a jar it prob last me about a month.

veggies are norm left overs. :p

California Natural herring and potatoes.

Currently trying it, so far ok.

It was RAW. But I think I finally figured out he is allergic to chicken, and that being the majority of his meals, doesnt work any more. I hope thats the issue. This dog is going to be the death of me with food. So I just stopped raw and am now feeding him this. Not TO thrilled with the idea of actual dog food again lol.

So we will see how this goes. if it doesnt work. I dont know what to do with this dog lol

I paid 40 bucks for a 15lbs bag.

Kirkland's chicken and rice + leftovers.

Seriously, I feed my dog anything that doesn't have bones that could splinter or things like onions -enchiladas, tacos, spaghetti - whatevers left over.

Innova.

I'm not even sure why I picked it. We were having bad luck with TOTW and this was just the next food I decided to try. Both dogs do well with it so I'm leaving them be, although I wish EVO weren't so expensive because then I'd be tempted to try that.

Taste of the Wild... the bison formula one. A 15lb bag is $25.

We feed this because it's grain free, and a great food for the price.

We're planning on going back to feeding a raw diet in the near future, though.
