I had promised to post a picture of Chloes stomach... so here it is:

Ignore the shirt I was pulling up, I keep a shirt on her when Im home to prevent chewing and that way she only has to wear the cone when I am gone...

she gets the staples out on Monday... I hope it doesnt scar as bad as it looks like it is going to.

I am missing the few days at the beginning when she was drugged, now she is running around like nothing ever happened and I am trying my hardest to stop her, lol.

Good lord! That is some cut! I don't think it will scar badly. When Lilly had a lump removed on her shoulder, the vet had to rush the op because she was in arythmia. The cut keyloided badly but there is hardly any scar at all.

Am I counting 22 staples? Wow, that's a lot for such a tiny girl. I hope she's getting pampered!

wow, is it bad that I never counted them :yikes: I never even thought of it.

But yes, now that you mention it 22 :p

I feel bad because she thinks she is punished, she has to get crated when I am not home because she isnt supposed to play rough and she cant play as much with Armani as she wants, I have to stop them a lot which neither is appreciating.

Oh no, that is horrible. How is she doing? What happened to her? Poor baby. I hope she has a speedy recovery. I know it's very difficult to get them to not play rough. When Rocky got her eye removed she was bouncing around like crazy. I had to take her to bed with me. There amazing that way.

Owie! And here I freaked out over Orson's tiny little neuter area, LOL........and on HIM it WAS tiny at about 3 inches hahahaha

Poor baby, I know what you mean by feeling bad. As if surgery wasn't enough, now you have to wreck her happy fun times with Armani and crate her like she's been naughty while you're out :( Just keep telling yourself it's for her own safety, it sucks, but it's only for awhile.

Wow! hope all continues to health up nicely!

I had a Collie several years back who bloated/torsion and had surgery to tack the stomach, he was cut down, around the same area!! I never counted his staples, but if a yorkie has 22, I can't even imagine how many a 50lb Collie puppy (yes, he was ONLY 7 1/2 months old when he bloated) would have!! wow!.. and he was SO hard to keep him calm as well! About 2 days after the surgery he acted like nothing had ever happened!!

she was spayed, but also had a liver biopsy at the same time which makes the incision HUGE... everyone kept warning me it was going to be BIG, but I didnt realize how big they really meant. I think I almost fainted in the vets office.

A-w-w-w...poor girl. I hope she isn't in too much discomfort. It should heal up soon though. Sending positive healing vibes your way. Give her extra special toys and treats for me. LOL. (I'm the big spoiler)
