This has been brought up in several threads, but never had one of its own. If you compete with your dogs, what venues do you compete in (including the organization)? I'm just wondering if there's something out there I don't know about yet (like I recently heard about Nose Work, although it's not in my area yet).

At the present time, my dogs do the following:

UKC - conformation, weight pull and soon rally (haven't done their agility yet)
AKC - conformation, rally and obedience (looking forward to new Beginner Novice titling class ...)
NADAC - agility
WWKC - rally (trials rarely offered anymore)

In the future:

CPE - agility
APDT - rally (when it makes it to FL)
TDAA (Teacup Dogs Agility Association) - for the AHT when she's old enough. Their trials are for any breed 17 inches or less.
AWTA (American Working Terrier Assoc) - when they offer trials in my area.

Currently

AKC- conformation, agility, rally
USDAA- agility
NADAC- agility, have done it in the past and will start new dogs in NADAC.

When we get to the point of being ready to compete in herding it will be AKC, ASCA, possibly others, but I'm most familiar w/ AKC and ASCA right now.

If I ever get a dog ring ready for obedience it will be in AKC

A friend is trying to talk me into UKC conformation, and I may consider it for my puppy just because there aren't any fun matches around here until middle of Feb.

JRTCC -all JRT activities such as Go to Ground, racing, lure coursing etc
AAC-agility (my main love)
CPE-agility just trying it, not going to make it a 'main' venue though.
CARA-racing for the whippets
NAMBR-Obedience.
CARO-Rally
RBCC-conformation (whippets)
Dock Dogs-big air.

would love to try USDAA

Japser:
AKC conformation, took some wins in the summer/fall, but not sure if ill do it again in the spring...alot of attitude, nothing realy clsoe, cost and the few closer shows theres a very limited number of cresties...
its nice to know he conforms well to standard, but im not sure i want to pay a fortune to title him if theres no real compertition ya know?

Contiental KC conformation:
these guys (as much as theyve got a bad rap) actually hold shows local enough to me and in my bidget to go and get involved, and ive found MUCH less attitude...again same problem of no cresties in the area lol, but we did end up competing against 6-8 cresties when we whent to a ckc event in ny.
jasper seemed to have ALOT more fun at the 2 ckc events than he did at the AKC event too!

Ruby:

Contiental: confo. did it 4 times, she took best of breed too, but she definatly didnt enjoy it, shes much to quiet to be in the ring.

USDAA is my focus for agility. I do some CPE as well, mainly because I have some friends who do it and I like trialing with them (and they claim USDAA is too competitive). I've spent time volunteering at both AKC and NADAC as well, and USDAA is far and away my favorite. I'd considered throwing Meg in a few AKC trials this year just because their courses seem really well set up for her type of running style, but now that I'm trying for USDAA nationals, all my money is going to that venue while I see if I can qualify.

Good grief! When do you people SLEEP?!?
wondering the same!! :D

that being said, we do UKC coonhound events (field trials, nite hunts, bench shows and water races) and AKC confo, coonhound events, and rally.

Um...AKC? LOL!

We don't have much locally except AKC - a random NADAC trail thrown in....

But we are currently trialing in AKC Confo and Obed and working in Tracking and Agility. :)
