So what is on your bucket list?

For those who don't know what a bucket list is, its the "what I want to do before I die list"

Well I got mine started today so far I only have about 30, but it includes some fun stuff..
- get a tattoo
- get flowers for no reason
- ask somebody out
- get in a snowball fight
- dance with a stranger in a foreign country
- go skinny dipping in the ocean
- write a book
- learn to ballroom dance
- crowd surf
- write a book

I've actually done all of these :lol-sign:

-swim with the dolphins
-take a picture facing up directly under the Eiffel Tower
-Learn to both surf and snowboard
-get kissed in the rain (it's never happened. Stupid desert)
-swim under a waterfall
-visit "the wave" in Arizona
-visit tghe 4 corners and be in 4 places at once
-Travel across a foreign country for like a week with nothing but clothes and money with no set travel plans

I'm sure I'll add more, but these have been on there for a while.

- have my own farm
- scuba around the barrier reef
- go on a trail ride/camping trip
- go on safari in africa
- see australia
- see the worlds largest banyan tree in person! (i love banyan trees)

theres more, but those are my bigger ones.

Just a couple of things...

Learn to fly
Learn to surf
Catch a pass from a pro quarterback
Take a nap
Train to be a stunt man and appear in a movie or TV show

Finish what I started 70 years ago ~ which includes my book . The rest I've done !

- Be the best daughter, wife & mom to my parents, husband & child(ren)
- Raise happy, healthy, well-rounded & spiritual-riched child(ren)
- See such child(ren) grow up, graduate from college, get married and have children of their own
- Be a witness of God's love to someone
- Be the difference I want to see in the world
- Save someone's life
- Make a pilgrimate trip to Jerusalem
- Be part of a private audience to see the Pope in Rome

-improve the local humane society (if that is even possible)
-help my sister start her own small rescue - particularly for senior pets
-take shelter animals and turn them into therapy animals (along the lines of letting foster children train shelter dogs so that they can be adopted out, but the real therapy is in what the animals could do for the children)
-adopt and foster senior pets
-own a nice home, with decent sized lot to help in our rescue efforts
-go on just one nice vacation where I could go tubing, jet ski? or other water fun.. just once that would be nice, I think (And bring my camcord to catch anything stupid so I can send it into America's Funniest Home Videos and win money!)

I am already fulfilled

Saved a dogs like- CHECK
swim in the ocean- CHECK
go to the mountains- CHECK
marry an awesome man- CHECK

I am sure later in life there will be more things that come up that i would like to do. but for now i am good

-have kids
-own a dapple dachshund, mini bull terrier, and fennec fox
-jet ski
-see snow

For a second, my eyes read that as "own kids", ha ha

So far, I've found a companion for life and married him.

I still want to:

-Travel to Greece and meet family
-Meet my dad's biological family on the reserve in Alberta
-Travel to southern Mexico
-Finish writing my book to the point that I get a rejection letter from a publisher.
-Have a painting in a hoity patoity gallery
-Paint a picture of Jesus
-Catch a shark from my kayak
-Hunt a coyote with my dogs
-Have a couple more children
-Buy a house
-Carve a carousel animal...or two or three

ETA: and I want to visit Khabarovsk Russia. No particular reason, something just draws me there.

- Get a show dog
- Become a holistic veterinarian
- Travel the world with my dog by my side
- Find the love of my life
- Skinny Dip
- Do a polar bear plunge
- Own a Borzoi
- Get two full "socks" of tattoos

over come my fear of flying

Go somewhere I can only get to by flying... reasonably

celebrate our 50th anniversary.

spoil grandchildren (they are God's reward for not killing your own kids lol)

Live in the country where it takes ten minutes at LEAST to walk to your neighbors house but you still KNOW them and trust them.

go on a cruise

Make my etsy jewelry shop an even bigger success than it is now and possibly move onto my own online or physical shop.

Be able to successfully school my child/ren

make sure beyond a SHADOW of a DOUBT that my family knows I love them above and beyond EVERYTHING ELSE.

Own a great dane

I've been thinking about this latley. I've been meaning to start writing it down aswell.

- Visit every state/territory in Australia. So far I've done QLD, NSW, ACT and NT. 4 to go.
- Wake up in a public place.
- Go skydiving (hopefully doing that for my 20th birthday)
- Live out of my car for a while
- Go camping on the beach.
- Spend some time in Alice Springs
- Go back to Darwin and watch the sunset.
- Party till sunrise.
- Have a NYE in Sydney.
- Get a half sleeve.

-save enough money to buy an around-the-world-ticket.
-write a children's book.
-open my own kindergarten.
-get a tattoo
-be part of a flashmob
-create a cookbook
-have three children....

there's more

-Get a PhD
-Own a nice house
-Travel the world

I made a list like this in college, but amazingly, I've done most of it in the past couple years (apparently I don't look very far ahead!) It was things like "learn to play tennis", "drink margaritas on the beach in mexico", and "get married in my childhood church". Check, check, check!

Which is the best place to go ?

TO be really loved by a good man. THe real deal.
To see the ocean again, hopefully with Hyia.
TO live where I want to live, not where I have to live.
TO do a life sized sculpture of a Nanny dog.
THat would be enough.

I've actually done most of mine over the past year or so.

Marry my best friend... Check
Own a nice house... Check
Own a Border Collie... Check
Play in the snow as an adult... Check
Write a book... Check
Visit Europe... Partial Check (went to Ireland)

I definitely have a LOT more things I'd like to do... but life is good now and I'm content where things are

-Have children
-Travel the world
-Live on a farm

Just off the top of my head...

-Get a PhD in Sociology
-Make a significant contribution to the field of Sociology
-Be able to play tennis again (stupid back )
-Learn to skijor without killing myself (involves getting a dog with longer legs )
-See Alaska
-Own a home with a freaking ginormous backyard
-Get involved in agility
