Ok, everyone get ready, because I'm totally housebound for the next...I don't know how many days. My transmission has decided that for it's New Year's Resolution, it's giving up working. Personally, I wish it would have taken up something more productive, like going to the gym so it would help the rest of the car get more gas mileage, but whatever.

Some friends are running a full diagnostic on it tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed that it's something easy(ish) and cheap(ish) to fix. Right now it's sounding like the ECM is the culprit. *sigh*

Do you still have your foster as well?
Us? Yes...He's about a 2 year old black Dane...that needs to gain...oh...about 30-40 pounds. He has been vomiting with diarrhea since he's been with us, so it hasn't been an easy transition. But he is a total lover and just needs some real care and attention. Which is another reason we are staying in for NYE. Not sure what your plans are for that...Erin is hosting a party...

OM NOM NOM!

I made a really good buttercream frosting the other night to frost the cookies we made. I was surprised at how well it came out!

Carrot cake FTMFW too...especially a layered one! Guess I need to get some rounds.

Good news on the car front though! It sounds like the ECU is a VERY common problem in the RAV and so I can just pull the part, ship it off to be rebuilt and should have my car back up and running by the weekend, for around $100 total!

Apparently this is a problem cropping up in like 95% of RAVs...and it's only started appearing since 2006, so because I bought my car in 2005 (it's a 2001), it didn't show up in my research. Luckily, because it's so common, it's become an easy fix.

Did the cookies come out well? The dough was amazing.

SCORE!

Are there any recalls for it? Complain to Toyota, they might refund you for the repairs even if it's out of warranty.

Nope, no recalls. :(

The cookies came out amazing, well, the ones that the oven didn't eat. I had two sheets in there for the first round, 1/2 burned beyond saving and the other half came out perfect.  So I just put in one sheet at a time after that and they came out fine.
