Well I think it's official, Mina's hit the 'teen stage'. At quite soon to be 8 months old she's acting like a little hellion.

She's getting into everything she's not supposed to, right down to trying to steal my posters off the wall. She doesn't want to listen at all, jumping all over people, and just generally being bad.

It's a good thing I love her so much and that she's so cute. Let's hope she moves on from this phase quickly like her big sister did.

LOL, Orson was pretty well trained before he hit 8-9 months old. By trained, I mean he knew basics, sit, stay, lay down, etc and a few tricks of shake, roll over, play dead.

8-9 month era came and it seemed the training went right out of his brain........he tested limits, ignored commands and would openly challenge me, LOL........Glad those days are GONE! (mostly, LOL)

I'm sure she'll pass through it too, just stay consistent and wait her out! :lol-sign:

I know it will pass, I was actually sort of expecting it. She's so much worse than Upendi was though. If I don't pay very close attention she'll systematically remove the thumbtacks from my posters drop them and then take off with the poster. She did it once while her daddy was supposed to be watching her.

It's just amazing to me how they seem to do it over night. I swear two days ago she wasn't acting like this. I don't mind it that much, this is the fun stage. ;) And it's an opportunity to really step up her training which will make our bond even stronger in the end. I'm going to get her a cloth toy that has no stuffing today as she seems to have a thing for socks, so I'm hoping having a cloth toy will help with that (currently all our toys are kong materials or plastics).

Even if she's being bad, the things she does are so funny that I can't really be mad at her. You can tell she's pushing her limits and she knows it. She'll do something bad and then look at me. Or she'll grab a sock and come stand in front of me with it and when I try to grab it, she takes off running. :D

Boy do I remember those days! Luke was just about as perfect as puppies come. Then one day, at about 9 months, I walk in the house to find that he's torn a giant hole in our big comforter blanket and burrowed inside of it!!! I was FURIOUS. And from there he got more and more crazy. It's a wonder he's so easy going and gentle now!

And Oliver was headstrong from the moment we brought him home and hasn't stopped yet, even at 4 years. Try living with a forever teen!
