I'm so freaking SICK of this.

So they decided to throw a big party today. Fine I dont' care.

didn't LIKE hearing their music pumping through our walls but they stopped that.

HOWEVER... it is now 11:30 pm and like TWENTY kids are outside in their yard SCREAMING their heads off. literally screaming. not just laughter and playing... SHRIEKING and SCREAMING

I sent beezer out there to bark at them lol.

but seriously. I'm fed UP with this BS. You DON'T send your kids outside to run around and be obnoxious at 11:30 pm

Call the cops - it won't be obvious that it's you if they are being that loud.

Good luck - bad neighbors suck!

well..we have complained to them twice before about their loud music and crazy kids... I was polite... but they'd know

but I don't really care at this poitn if they know.

the kids have mostly gone inside... there are still a few out there being loud so I'm seriously considering it.

Beezer is freaking out (expected after the nonsense that went on BECAUSE of these neighbors not long ago) and silly mee... I'm making him be quiet. wish others could be so curteous.

Go join the party. ;)

I'm sorry you have to deal with rude and stressful neighbors; at least it's only Halloween night and not a house with parties every night; we had one of those neighbors at one point. Not fun; and they were complete assholes.

Be careful with Beezer. You never know what drunk kids might throw over the fence.

Hey sparks, I sympathize.

I have neighbors ACROSS THE STREET that drive me nuts! Yes, they ARE that loud, and my bedroom is in the front of the house and that doesn't help. I don't give a pooh if they know I call or not, when it reaches 10:00pm I CALL! (noise ordinance in our town is 10pm-6am) I used to flip, flop, and wait until I couldn't take it anymore..........but they would seriously drag it on until 3-4 in the morning  Now if they've started in with the music and noise, I just call right at 10 and get it over with, save me time and trouble and lets me sleep :D

I used to stress over it, wanted to be a "good neighbor" and fair..........but you know, I finally come to the conclusion that they didn't mind disturbing us (all neighbors around them) so I shouldn't mind/feel bad about "disturbing" them.

Just start calling each and every time..........either the cops will get tired of giving a warning and actually write a ticket, or the neighbors will get tired of the cops coming and start being more considerate, LOL

I agree to be careful with your dogs; you never know what people will do.

Back in NY you could call to complain if the noise was after 11 p.m.

I had the same problem last night! It lasted to well after midnight. The security guard was parked out right infront of their house - they didn't get the hint, he didn't do anything about it!!!

well I did call the cops but dont' know if they ever came. the lady said they had multiple complaints about that house but they also had a slew of other complaints so they were "getting to them as quickly as possible"

I'm figuring they probably never came because they were still going strong at 3 am.

Yeah I won't be joining them for any parties anytime soon. Just glad the cops didn't end up in my backyard shining their lights in the windows looking for one of the criminals next door again. I was pretty worried about that happening

and there is nothing in my backyard but Brian did have a lovely party cup sitting on the hood of his car. I'm surprised my pumpkins weren't smashed.

OH and... this isn't a one time thing. If this was just a halloween party and the rest of the time they were reasonably quiet that is one thing... but they are NOT ever quiet.

their kids harrass my dogs and are totally obnoxious.

There are people being loud at all hours of the night

and they never have any problem blaring their music any day any time of the week. We;ve had to ask them a few times in the past to PLEASE turn it down as I do have a child that dose go to bed at a reasonable hour.

every sunday night they seem to do this big dramatic kids swap usually at 11:30 at night which usually ends up as half an hour of screaming and crying kids and adults hollering at the kids and each other. it's ever so much fun

these are also the same people who were involved in a high speed chase that resulted in cops shining lights into MY house at 2 am looking for them.

Oh GAWD!!! I feel for you. You have to move. I hope you can move to some acreage somewhere. That's the only way to avoid neighbors....at least pretty well. I think about moving a lot. I miss my family and the salt water. But it would not be on acreage. I couldn't afford it there. I think sometimes....well, it might be nice to have some neighbors to have coffee with and visit out by the mail box. But then I read some of these posts, like your's and Dan's and I get a reality check. These people these days are oblivious to anyone but themselves. Complete and absolute self centeredness. You have particularly lousy neighbors. They must drive everyone around them nuts. That is so much stress that I couldn't live that way. I do hope you guys can move somewhere else before too long. Grrrrr! Just reading your post gets me so fired up.

I always hate having neighbors. The last time I had a neighbor, their stupid little maltese and mutt dog barked nonstop and would chase people. I agree to be careful with beezer, but I think its hilarious you sent him out there. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Now you just need to do it when they are trying to sleep and see how they like it. Yeah, probably not the best idea, but it would be funny. You can't do much but call the cops or go over there yourself to have words.

UGH! It's like you are living in MY neighborhood! Seriously. :(

I can totally over look and be fine with an occasional party or loudness.......but when it has to be ALL THE TIME it's ridiculous. Not only THAT, some of the "noise" that comes from there (my neighbor) is NOT kid friendly and I don't particularly like my children exposed to it you know?

Don't get me wrong, we aren't "anal" we understand that our kids are exposed to all kinds of stuff at school and out in the world everyday, but we want them to understand that WE don't condone it..........ESPECIALLY at home.

I'd just about lost hope and then they seemed to have settled down.........now their noise only happens every other weekend or so, no more through the week crap! HOORAY FOR ME! LOL

I hope something "gives" for you guys sparks, I really do!

yeah we want to move but we'lve only owned this house for a year and with neighbors like that it's going to be tough to sell and get what the house is worth. and we are definitely moving to acreage. we are actively looking for stuff around here right now. it's going to be a while until we can really try to sell this place but doesn't hurt to look.

OH same here ACoop... some of the stuff that they yell while outside is obscene... and not just the adults.. the kids too. and I'm talking like 6 years old. I remember one day the dog got out cause the kids kept leaving the door open and that dog is just DYING to get away from them. runs away all the time and she's too stupid to put a leash on him. so we always end up with this:

"DICE... stupid F***ing dog. Get the F*** back here. What the f*** is wrong with you kids? How many times do I have to F***ing tell you to close the mother f***ing door. are you f***cking stupid?"

Oh yeah... it's lovely

When I was living in nyc, they would party till morning.
Doesn't bother me anymore, I got use to it. :p But since
moving, I can't stand it anymore. Someone that lives
behind us is kinda of like that. :( Sometimes, I wish I
can just shoot them. :lol-sign:
